no they are not right. they of all people should know better. they have become the nazis that they hated. but they are driven by fear and i feel sorry for them. it must be hard to feel as though the whole world wants to exterminate you.

i've just read most of the other answerers, most of you don't even know what you are talking about. Israel has Jordan and Egypt as two reasonable neighbours, Lebanon, not Libya is the source of the attack. The rest of the world is outraged by what America is doing in Iraq right now. Israel was founded by a terrorist organisation and they started the war in the 1940s even blowing up British colonial installations in Palestine. They actually need to have a bit of a chat with their neighbours and be a little bit more accommodating, but again, that's hard when you think that you are world enemy number one just for being born. There needs to be a lot less violence on both sides but I don't see how that can happen. In the current situation a major regional war could be triggered which is the fault of both belligerent sides. They are as bad as each other.

Israel is defending itself.

The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.

Hey, here's an idea, why don't the Arabs get these 4th generation refugees and incorporate them into their society? 4th GENERATION?!? That would never happen in a developed nation, including Israel. It shows how incompetant the Palestinians are.

What if another country took 3 American soldiers hostage and started using them as a bargaining power? The world would be outraged. THIS IS AN ACT OF WAR AGAINST ISRAEL. Israel has the right to defend herself and to go after her people as ANY other country in the world would.
If Arabs are the terrorists then Arabs must be killed. They started this, if they want peace, then give Israel her people back.
Go get em Israel, wipe them off the map, as that is what they plan for you.

Yes, Israel is surrounded by hostiles. There is not one friendly country to Israel in the middle east. They are only defending their citizens, property, and ways of life. Israel is not arrogant but you might be ignorant for being one sided on an issue. Learn the entire story, consider what is at stake, and make an informed, educated decison.

Israel gave up land for peace and did not get it. Recent history would indicate that having rockets flying over head is not good for the general tranquility. I grant you my terrorist may be your freedom fighter but when attacks are un prevoked and Pizza shops are blown up. It is difficult to be sympathetic to your position. Hamas and Hezbolla are proxies who march with a Syrian or Iranian beat, That is why Israel must chop them all up and turn them into meat. Moslems do a fine job killing their own bretheren and blow up Mosques of another sect. also so you have no rightful claim to victim status. Allah loves his children but his children do not love Allah. I will close with the quote from the Abolitionist John Brown who said before he was lynched When you sow the Wind you will reap the Whirlwind. The Arabs opted to Sow the Wind. Welcome to the Paradise of bitter fruit.

Nowhere in the world the occupation forces have a right to kill the local inhabitants.
Israel is doing the same in Palestine as America is doing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
They have no moral grounds to stay in the territory that does not belong to them, what to talk of killing the locals.

I think ARABS should be arm equally and than Israel have the right to fight Arabs. Since Arabs are less equipped, I DO NOT think this as a conventional fair war.

i say the united states should turn the middle east and N. Korea into the surface of the moon.... nuke those fu.ckers.... and ***** the oil... this planet is going to hell in a hand basket because we as people are too fu.ckin' lazy... mark my words.... the way we live will not be the same in 50 years.... it will go back to the way we used to live like in the 1800's... and i can't wait... I'm tired of people bit.chin' about gas being $3 bucks a gallon.. yet they drive gas hogs like these huge as.s pickup trucks and SUV's that only get 10 to 15 mpg.... f.u.ckin' stupid people.... and furthermore... no one needs 5 fu.ckin' vehicles in their driveway...... ever heard of carpool??? doesn't matter... eat it up while you can because times are going to be harder in the future.. near future that is.... ... maybe people should at least think about setting up Solar Panels on their homes... it might be expensive to start off but they end up paying themselves.... i've had mine installed about 5 years ago and now my power company pays me..and as for vehicles.. i own a vehicle that is 100% electric... so i never use gasoline....... most people tend to take the easy route... which usually doesn't end the way we want it to end....
