Is Sex at 13 Right or Wrong?

My now ex GF, told me a while ago, that her daughter had sex, at 13!!! & under my own roof!

Is it wrong or right?

She also treats her mum like a slave, does what she wants when she wants & it also lead to breaking me & her mum up!

Definetly way to young. She should be worrying about getting through school instead. Sounds like her mother has let her do anything she wants to and at the age of 13 it is hard to start putting discipline in her life now. It is not impossible but you need to get started as soon as possible.

Its totally wrong its a no no !!!!!
Having sad that... in the old days it was a norm to bed a 13 year old
it went on for thousands of years ..I don't think it harmed any one
in fact some of us is the end product
back than when a girl turned 12 she was treated as a Yong woman and she acted like one
now days most of the girls are not grownups Even at the age of 18
most of 13 year old .cant cook. cant do any thing around the house and there nothing but a problem they end up getting them selves in trouble WHY????? because they have SEX in there minds

She obviously has never taught her daughter any morals or manners, who's the adult? She has no respect for her mum & clearly thinks she can do what she likes!!!
As a mother myself I can't condone anyone who allows their 13yr old to have sex, especially in the family home!!!!!!! No wonder the child has no respect. Her mum is letting her get away with treating her like a slave, if she doesn't start asserting her parental authority pretty damn quick, then it will only get worse.

Family services have programmes that can help parents who find it difficult to parent.
What I find incredible, is that parents like her seem to want to treat their kids as adults, they are not!!!!!!!
She's missing out on her childhood, she's not having fun & is very angry!!

She also might see it as getting the affection she obviously craves from other sources. Does she really want to get pregnant, or contract an std, because she's probably not taking any precautions?

Im also surprised that you asked the question, it's been illegal to have sex under 16yrs old since about 1960, I believe..
Can you not get anyone else to speak to this woman, her mum, a friend? Anyone!!!!!!

It is wrong but you can only do so much. It is up to the mother to teach her right and wrong and if the child does not use the information the mother gives then the child will have to learn on her own the ther is a possibility that she could have a child of her own and what would she tell her? How would she feel if she were in that situation. As far as the mother if she can not stand up for the two of you then move on and be happy that you don't have to deal with the drama of the daughter.

13 is way too young for sex unless you lived hundreds of years ago when the average age of death was 35 years old. Then you had sex to have babies so that the earth would keep populated. Now that the average age of death is up in the 80's women don';t need to be reproductive at an early age anymore.

If you have to ask that question then there is something wrong with you. Do you not have the common sense to know that a 13 year old is a CHILD. Any parent that lets this happen should be taken to court and given a jail sentence and never allowed to bring up a child again.

lets put it this way.
when i was 17 i got my 14 y.o. girlf pregnant.

im 31 now and im still trying to get back what i lost.
when all my mates were out having fun iwas pushing a buggy around.
its such a terrible waste when people get themselves into this rut but hey, it happens.

all i can really say is that given the chance i would do things differently.

the age of consent is there for a reason, at 13 no matter how adult you may think you are, you are just a kid. its the last thing they want to hear but........

maybe take them round to a friends house with a young baby, just for a reality check.
im not suggesting she will get pregnant, she may be carefull. young boys dont really like condoms though do they..

under age sex is illegal,this 13 yr old child has got your ex excatly where she wants her,its up to your ex to set some ground rules and enforce them,your ex should of stayed with you as this young lady in question needs a father figure to help enforce those rules,if you both stick together and agreed with each other and let the 13 yr old see that you both agree with the rules and enforce them she will eventually learn that she cant get in between you both,as she knew what she was doing at the time and has done it,.she has got inbetween u both and in the end a split was invitable her job done.hope you understand what i mean i think you will do.

I think that is disgusting and its illegal to have sex at 13. The truth is kids are getting away with too much these days and are not brought up properly or descently-kids need rules to follow and if broken they should be punished by smacking-you are never too old to receive a good slapping on the bum.

I had it when i was 12 @ my boyfriend's house and i nerve disrespected my mom. I am very successful woman but if i would turn back i would make sure i had saved myself for the right guy. Since at 12 you dont even know where the pleasure is. Now i do and wish my man could have been my first. Goodluck, dont be harsh on her you will make her stubborn. Let her know that she's gonna have when the time is right. ( Its one thing special that God has done for his people.)
