If he stayed a Jew he could have been a jeweler or a rich businessman....why would he give that up to be poor

Jesus did stay a Jew, and still is one. He didn't come here to get rich, He has far more riches in Heaven than anyone on earth ever could.

Jesus ( PBUH ) was sent to the Jews, they have rejected Him. But that dose not change the fact he was a Jew , sent to the Jews, and ascended to heaven as a Jew,...that is his origin not a religion.
Jesus ( PBUH ) was rich in the "eyes " of Allah (God) and His followers. It is not the money that counts.
I do not blame you , as most of us now live the "material world, or life"

How many rich businessmen do you see hangin' out with a bunch of lowlifes? He didn't just hang with them, He loved them, healed them, taught them and went as far as to be in service to them. He didn't consider anything on this earth more important than you...Most Jews are successful because they have learned the importance of financial, established security. Its just like with folks that went through the great depression not being wasteful...like my Grandma. Her motto was to wear it out and use it up...she even saved slivers of soap to make drawer sachets and saved nylons to make pillow stuffing. If you had been Jewish during the Holocaust and survived it, wouldn't you pass down some handy tips to your children and grandchildren on how to be grounded in security and never give way to be called a sub-species of inferior human beings? They, like african american people, have proven to be smart, worthwhile, hardworking, ambitious, talented diverse people. So yeah, Jesus had no place to lay His head at night, no money, rank or prestige...yet, He is the most famous person in all of written history. Hmmm...Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Well, sorry to tell you this but Jesus was always Jewish. He was a Jewish Messiah that the Christians believe was the son of God.

He never was anything but Jewish...It's Paul who turned him into a religion-founder.
As for poverty, he was always poor and liked it that way because study and learning were more important than money and comfort.
