No I disagree, there are sins that are not about hurting others. As a matter of fact if you really want to know how good or bad you are take inventory of how you behave when there is no one around, you are all alone and can do whatever you want. That is the true you, and you may or may not be sinning then!!!!

I think you are on the right track about hurting others...But the learning is to Love one another. We tend to manipulate people with our actions, that of which the bible says is as witchcraft......so He is trying to teach us to live and love together in unity.......But we also sin against ourselves don't you think when we allow to desire a heart that would hurt or sin against others.........Been there done that and don't like feeling that way so i need to turn to God to try to have a better attitude.......not always successful........cause some times I just choose to be hateful........But i don't blame the Lord...i just keep trying........I like the way i feel when i try to encourage as opposed to the other.........hope i didn't stray to far from your question.......it was a good one and one i will continue to think on

what makes you think that hurting others is necessary ......
all other 'sins' well that would depend on what u think r sins ,what i would consider to be sins, are more than likely different than yours......sins are only moral choices and i dont think that 'god' invented morals or anything else for that matter..

Pretty much. I'm not christian but most of the 10 commandments had this in mind. Moses wrote them to ensure that a troubled community could continue to function

Yes. Absolutely. That's my belief system and it's gotten me this far in life.
I think it's a noble system, and one that carries a lot of responsibility with it. I'm proud and honoured to bear that responsibility.

actually, I think sin was created by the church, so that people would fear god....which is not right....we shouldn't fear Him
and so, in my opinion, sin does not exist
