I am a true American and I am outraged, not because of the influx of "Spanish speakers" but the influx of rude and ignorant criminals from Mexico. There are plenty of people who speak Spanish that are decent.

It's not right that they can come here and get things for free and not pay a dime in taxes, live under several assumed identities (felony) and commit various other crimes and never be punished for it. Then, they fly their ugly flag here in AMERICA like their country is such a great place. If they love their country so much, why are they here? Why do they literally die in the sand getting over here, just to disrespect us? Stupidity and ignorance is a very ugly combination.

They are a much needed source of labor in agricultural areas, as well as any day labor job. They work for whatever they can and take jobs that really nobody else would take unless the pay was raised. Also, whatever happened to:

Our own nation was founded by people fleeing opression and seeking better lives, how can we honestly tell people "no, we met our quota from your country already, I'm sorry, we are simply not accepting any more people from where you're from"? The only reason there are illegal immigrants is because we simply don't allow them into our country in the first place. And honestly, if they can prove that they are supporting the economy and the country, I feel that they deserve to be here just as much as I do.

What it is that the Whitehouse, now ruled by dick-tator George Bush and his mafia family - does NOT! want you to know is that the original inhabitants through old treaty rights - have what is called a - V -treaty - which entitles them to cross and live on both sides of the border - and trade freely to - it is somewhat like the - J - treaty given to those original inhabitants that lived here in the upper north regions of the states and southern border of Canada - that too is regretably not looked at - if they were - more park lands would be saved and not drilled for oil - so yes I am outraged that all the original peoples of this land are not allowed to freely live as we are allowed cause of who we are - When the Whitehouse talks about terrorism - we as the original people say terrorism - we been fighting terrorism since 1492 - but you dont see us putting up a wall

I just want to point out that native americans are only the "Indiands". All the rest are Irish, Dutch, Italians, Greeks, Jews, English, Africans and so on. So, this is another immigration wave like all the previous ones, which made America a great country, exactly because all these cultures were assimilated.

No, not outraged. Illegal immigration is not a drain on the american system.. most illegal immigrants do the DIRTY JOBS that americans WONT DO THEMSELVES for half or less than half the pay. Its slavery, really... because the US doesn't pay healthcare or pension to elders, a bunch more people in the system will not drain anything for anyone.. besides, if they're illegal they can't register for these programs anyway.

No - I've spent some time in some unfortunate countries and I know that if I were in those circumstances I would do anything I could to bring my children to the US.

The problem with the immigration issue is not that people are coming in, it is that they are undocumented. They are undocumented because the process to get a greencard is mind-bogglingly convoluted. We need to clean up the system - then it can be regulated.

Not outraged at all.I don't think of them as being sub-human.They are just ppl that want to make a better life for themselves.
The reason being that I'm not,besides that ^,well I'm not a xenophobe,and I don't live in an area that has a "problem",no overcrowded schools,no traffiic,no high crime rate.And I don't try to find a scapegoat for all of this countries problems.

The canadan border is twice the size and terrorists have crossed there in the past, Why arent you concerned with that gaping hole in our borders?
All the immigrants need is papers so what the hold up, Why make it such a big deal.
The goverment made it possable for immigrants from mexico to come in to work seasonally why dont you know about these laws?

well.. this is how i see it..... i think those that are here illegally should be deported back to Mexico... no ifs ands or buts about it....

When illegal aliens come to this country, their only reason is for a better life. They come with no respect for rules and trash our cities (look at Texas!) American businesses kiss their *** by putting signs in Spanish and hire them for cheap labor (Home Depot!!) They should be kicked out.
