You do not live by every word of the bible. You are a liar. If you did you would be in jail.
btw. Want at least one example of you not following the bible? What day of the week do you go to church on?

Languages are imperfect mediums to show us God's will, following the Bible word for word will end up in some contradictions, you have to take things in context and see the reason behind them. Also, following the Bible, even word for word, isn't what makes you a true Christian.

It's a shame when people who don't understand the Bible try to pick it apart. I'm through with you.
And besides, God has the authority to give and take life. He also has the right to delegate that authority to whomever he wants for discipine of the wicked.
The scriptures you used earlier were part of a law that was given to the nation of Israel and later done away with after the it had served its purpose.

I am a true christian and try my best to live to the bibles standards. I don't do any of the sins but I do tell little white lies like we all do when our girlfriends ask us if they are fat or whatever. I try really hard to live the way God wants me to and not the way I want to .

Ok..........No one on Earth is a Saint in this day and time........No one can follow the word of the Bible to the "T".........Everyone has flaws that is why you ask him for forgiveness and try to live your life to the best of your ability..........But you don't in no way shape or form go out and commit a Sin just to do it and say to HE** with the consequences....for everyone will be judged by him......We are all as Filthy Rags on Earth.........God Bless

A true christian, I suppose you mean a true disciple of Christ. You may be a believer but not a disciple. I know I am fallen far short of being one because it requires complete obedience of God's leading and word. But I know somehow who is a disciple to me, she is Jackie Pullinger. She left her family, friends, job, lived by faith, without finanical support from any church then, went to a foreign land, preached to gangsters, drug addicts and prostitutes and thru Jesus brought them to Christ. She missed her sister's and friends' wedding, her parents' funeral for the sake of the Gospel. Her future is soley in Christ cause I don't think she has a regular income or a retirement account balance in any bank.

I would hope that no one starts following the bible word for word....we don't need a situation like the Salem witch hunt to occur again.

Dear:Katie 2Tm:2:1: Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2Tm:2:2: And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
2Tm:2:3: Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2Tm:2:4: No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
2Tm:2:5: And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
2Tm:2:6: The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
2Tm:2:7: Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
2Tm:2:8: Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
2Tm:2:9: Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
2Tm:2:10: Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
2Tm:2:11: It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
2Tm:2:12: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
2Tm:2:13: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
WE ARE ALL SINNERS, JESUS CHRIST IS LIFE

They tried that in the Old testament ..what they didn't know was that they could not be saved by following the law to a "T"..it was given so that men would:
1) know sin existed
2)and that sin was exceeding sinful
It was not going to save them ...but christ fulfilled the law with his life in that the penalty of the law was death ...so with his life he paid the price ..of sin ...that Adam sinned ..thereby bringing unto all men death...so Jesus gave his life for our lives...so that...NOW...we have grace...and the bible says ..for by grace are ye saved and NOT of YOURSELVES..so that it is not of our works that get us into heaven ..but by faith in him like it says in Romans...For it thou will confess with thy mouth and believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved ...
Finally as far as the word goes ...Christians are not allowed to have private interpretations..2 Peter 1st chap
I have by experience seen that ..Christians being ..sometimes new converts ..and sometimes seasoned vets ...don't have different interpretations..but the ability to expound the word maybe more or less...the base of the meaning remains the same ..but to break it down and teach it ..is with time and experience greater ...
One man might say Jesus loves you ...another will cross referance other scriptures to further show this love and expound on that...others can even go further and do a topical study and give you greek and Hebrew meanings...Etc,,,,
Let me give you one prime example....the word halellujah....
Look in the king james ..it does not exist ...it does in others..and it is definately a word strongly used by christians.....
David the one wrote most (not all) of the Psalms in the last 5 Psalms spoke alot of praises but never once used the word we use in the church as the highest praise...BUT back before Psalms actually demonstrated the word...
The word alleluia in Revelations 19 th chap actually means ..simply praise the Lord ...but when coupled (derived) with the word halal in the strongs concordance..means to be clear and concise..to be mad.. to rage... to be married to
This is the definitions of the levels of praise ..from the heart ...and that in itself is the highest praise to give to God ....Praise from the heart...the bottom line is ...
the word can be broken down by some ..more than others ,,but it is not a different interpretation...May God bless yo and give you wisdom from on high
