The best toy for a small kitten, is anything that you play with together. You don't want to give your kitten a ball of yarn or string (sorry to the person who suggested this). Kittens have very sharp teeth and can chew a piece off and swallow it, potentially causing hundreds of dollars in vet bills. Fishing poles (a stick that has feathers or fur dangling from it) are an interactive toy that most cats go mental for. Also, little fur mice. Or you can get this glove, it has long fingers with toys and/or string to interact with your kitten. Small fur covered mice (toys). Just remember, if you play rough and let your kitten bite your hand, it will always think that it's okay to play that way. When your 3 pound kitten turns into a 10 pound cat, you might not enjoy it as much.
Good luck with your little friend! :)

Kittens as well as grown cats, love to hide. Get some empty boxes and make a fort. Many ways to do it, experiment. I tape the top shut and cut little holes out (2 or 3 in each box) with a carpet cutter, First one might be easier to cut the holes first before taping the top. Sometime they can't wait that long though, lol. Get as many as you have room for. You can make a maize or put an empty paper sack out one door or?????........you will have a blast making diff. combinations. They can chew em and jump on em and they have soooooooo much fun! Hope this helps........try it, even just 1 or 2 boxes....they are free too :)

a ball of yarn, so the kitten can chase it, and you can even hold it and let them try and get it.
