it takes time to know if you click with someone. you cannot know right away... you can have physical attraction and lust right away, but not love...
you will know it's the one when you mutuallly respect and care for each other and each other's best interests; and are supportive

For me...it was instant. When I first met him, I felt a...connection of sorts. Like sparks flying. I had a huge crush on him, but we both were with other people at the time. So, we made a promise to each other. If we were both single, and were willing, we'd give each other a chance. So, for a year, we stayed close friends, helping each other out when we needed it, and growing closer. Finally, a few months after a very bad break-up, I emailed him and asked him what the deal was with us, and what he wanted to do. I told him how I felt, since day one. He felt the same way towards me, and so we've been dating for awhile now, and are inseperable. :-)

It was instant and I still remeber it like it was yesterday. The very moment i saw him my heart just sank to my stomach and i was hooked. I would leave work and could not think of anything but him and could not wait till time for work so i could see him.

i knew i found the one by the butterflies in my tummy the day that i met him and when we seen each other again by the way that he made me feel like i was the most important thing in the world. By the way that i feel lost when he is not around. And how i feel so whole whenever he is near me. Just by the way that he holds me and makes me feel like a princess and when i tried to push him away and i tried real hard he would not leave and would not walk out on me and he knew by the look in my eyes that i did not want him to go and that i needed him more than ever and now we are getting married in three months and expecting our first child.

You have to do like I did, after 37 years of being together, if you still can talk to each other in a civilized manner, than your on the right track.

Most never know, they just find contentment and happiness. Romeo and Juliet wouldn't have been a good story if life were a fairy tale. It's the risk that makes things important.

well...im only 15 and i must say i thought i had it. i mean i was sooooooo in love with this guy named andrew, and hes just a year older than me, but we were bf/gf for a year and 2 months, and he was greek (no offense 2 greek ppl) but because of his religeon things went wrong. i mean his parents wanted to set him up with other greek girls while we were together (were in the same state tho, he lives up the street from me) and they wanted him to date greek girls because i was american and i guess to his family americans werent good enough. then i find out he had a "moment" with his neighbors daughter, over the summer when we were so head over heals and he never told me. then he was talking to this girl he knew i hated, and broke my heart several times with her. then things went totally wrong. we were on and off going out, for like 2 months because i thought he was going to change and it never did. but before all this happened, my god we were wonderful. omg, i knew at that moment i had "supposedly" lol had met my match/mate thingy.
i was wrong. WAYYY wrong lol. but then, after we were officially over, i had been talking to my friend jeff, and hes so sweet, and kind, and caring and i knew from the moment i met him, that this was it. but i never thought he liked me, so i left him alone. anyways, we've been talking and have decided to give a relationship between us a chance, and see where things go. and if its not wat we want, then we've have also agreed 2 stay friends.

"The One" does not exist. The one is the one you are willing to work with to establish a committed relationship.
