It depends on if you are telling the truth or just making this up. If this question is on the "up and up," there are people who are better off not having any friends than to have someone who is detrimental to their well being. A friend is someone who will stand by you through thick and thin, and you exchange the favors, but it's hard to have a friend today who doesn't want to be selfish and do all the taking. I believe it takes all kinds of people and that loners can be just as happy when all areas of their life are full and they have healthy self-esteem. Our philosophy of life dictates if we need friends or not, and until we find the person who is sincere, we are just better without. And remember, it takes knowing how to be a friend to have one. Also, never take them for granted. If you don't feel you have good social skills and would like a friend, ask an adult you trust to help you discover what to do to encourage someone to want to be friends with you.

If you don't go out and socialize, then you are isolating yourself. If you want friends, you need to be one. To do that you need to work yourself out of your shell. Good luck! :)
