If someone I'm around insults my significant other, I finish the evening and then never speak to them again. I don't need friends who can't respect me, and by insulting my S.O., they insult me. Trying to reason with them just isn't worth my time, for the most part.

Depending on who insulted them would be how I would react. I usually don't care what people think. As long as you know that you don't feel that way about them, you'll be fine. If someone of the same sex insulted them, you can't do much about it. Otherwise, if it really bothers you, you should calmly talk to them until they get an attitude. After that, all is fair in love and war.

It all depends on who it was and what they said. 20 years ago I whooped someone's *** for calling my DH the wrong name. She got it a second time, when my sister pulled up and seen me fighting her. That was 20 years ago. If it happened today.... I'd probably react the same again. However, this time around I'd probably grab something to help me......lol. I'm gettin' to old for that kind of sh**! I like to think I"m more mature than I was.... But who knows. I hope I don't ever have to find out. BM

Well, this actually happened to me. What I did was beat the **** outta them. After they got outta the hospital I sent him back. But I would definately consider what the insult was. I spent a good week in jail for this. So I would not recommend this to anyone.

Oh I would be ready to fight. Hell, I might win, I might lose, but I would give it one hell of a shot. Although right now, I have to be careful, I've already been arrested once or twice for my temper (I beat on some Biatch that was going after my man, even tho he tried to tell her to back off, and she wouldn't so I took care of it)

Insult something about them and then tell them how retarded and pathetic they are, and then if they keep sayying stuff, Punch em in the face, so they will speak no more.
