I know he likes me a lot, but he is backing away. How do I get him to come to his senses? He thinks I am beautiful, smart, sexy... Why can't this be enough? What can I do to make him get over his ridiculous self and just want to be with me...

haha... the funny thing is that this is not me talking about myself... this is the stuff he says to me, and he says that it is what scares him about me. in all honesty, i could never think I am TOO sexy, smart, etc to be with anyone... I am just going by what he told me. PS - self confidence is good for women to have maybe we wouldnt end up with suck jerks and i wish i had more

Ask him if he would like to join you to something new/fun/exciting: "Hey im going to try out the new cafe down the street, care to join me?" or " hey, would you like to go to the movies with me" The more time he spends with you the more he'll appreciate you.

If he is backing away, he must not think all those things you said or he maybe dealing with something personal and just don't want to be in relationship.If you have some mutual friends, ask them through a conversation if they know what's up with him?

With an attitude like that, I can see why he might be backing away. If you want the guy to "come to his senses," try not being so pretentious and egocentric. A little modesty goes a long way.

Have a life, before you try to have a relationship, or a baby.
A life is what is attractive, not physical attributes, or the lack of them.
