Yes, they do dream. One interesting thing that my dog's breeder told me was that they run and bark in their sleep a couple of days after they are born. She thought it was funny because at that point, they are too young to have even run or played yet! So what are they dreaming about then??

Yes that's when your dog is in REM sleep. Although we can't ask them for sure what they are dreaming about, we can know by the way they act that they are dreaming about running or barking or some such madness! Aren't dogs cool?

Animals have complex dreams and are able to retain and recall long sequences of events while they are asleep, Massachusetts Institute of Technology researchers report for the first time in the Jan. 25 issue of the journal Neuron.

Yes they do, in fact, my dog just had one about five minutes ago. It starts to whine and kick, but she was still sound asleep. Kind of cute if you ask me, considering shes a puppy and all. Unless our dogs are having some unruly body spasms, i would have to say they are dreaming.

Yes. They dream just like we do. It's cute to watch when they dream. My dog looked like he was running and sort of had a soft/sad moan.

Yep, all animals dream. Some will kick, some bark, I have even heard of them sleepwalking when they are puppies.

Yep. Watch for his eyes to blink while they're closed. That means he's in the REM cycle/dream state.

yes they most certainly do,listen to your dog when it sleeps,if it whines or growls ever so quietly it's dreaming, also watch their eyes do the REM thing.
