What is God's purpose for the earth?
Matt. 6:10: “Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.”
Ps. 37:29: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”
See also Ecclesiastes 1:4; Psalm 104:5.
Isa. 55:8-11: " As the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. . . . My word . . . will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it.”
The world will not be destroyed.

I dont think that the whole world can be destroyed at a time , but the destruction casued to a person by any terrorists or any natural calamity is the detruction of his whole world. We are living in so many phases. death is also a phase, either ours or others.
There are so many little creatures in this world and so many creatures who live on carbon dioxide and other creatures who live in water that if destruction came one day still few creatures will survive and then the new world will be built and the whole world be again as it is now its only the matter of time.
I can see our world getting vast as after few hundred years we will start living on other planets of this universe and discover so many new lifes going on parallel with us which we cannot see today. think that people will start flying individually , going on moon for holidays and other planets .So cheer up.

People of science can also see the destruction of the world as we know it with the problem of global warming. The possibility is very real. Scientist are often people with great spiritual minds also.

Actually, if we strcitly follow whats written in the Bible ... yes the world is being destroyed and it is real. But for me, we as a people living in the world have a choice not to continue destroying ourselves and the planet we live in.
As what Jesus commanded us Christians, go and preach the Gospel to the world. It simply means that we Christians have to tell the world to LOVE and show the world what it means.
He died for mankind. and it was out of love. Again, I think the destruction of the world depends on how we act, think, and feel towards others. if we continue to violate others' right and morality... i guess, it may be sooner than you think.

the world is being destroyed at this very minute.. little by little and sometimes by gigantic amounts. and we are the ones who are doing it not God or Satan. We have the choice and the power to save the Earth from destruction.
