The guy I reeeaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly like is 2 inches shorter than I am!!! I try not to let it bother me, and he hasnt asked me out yet, however i know for a fact (i have my sources) that he is going to ask me out soon! He is an amazing guy and I really do like him a lot! But for some reason I cant seem to get past the fact that he's shorter than i am!!! I'm tall and one of my big standards is height! and he doesnt measure up there! other than that he's perfect! funny, smart, sweet, CRAZY about me! its just those 2 inches... how can i get over this?! and do guys like dating girls taller than them?!

I know it sounds shallow and i HATE myself for letting his height get in the way!! did I mention I'm 14 he's 17? i'm done growing and i dont know if he is!

Get over yourself and your height! If you like him, what does his height matter/ Are you worried what your friends would think? Who cares? Are oyu really shallow enough to make a decision like that based on what your friends MIGHT think? Are they your friends if you like a guy and they think he is wrong for you cause of two inches? You don't sound old enough for him to be done growing yet anyway! Many guys dont finish growing until after they are 17 or 18! You are going to be tall your whole life, and you should get used to the idea that the man that you might marry MIGHT be shorter than you! If you like him, GO FOR IT!

Wear Flats!! LOL!! I am 5'8 not an amazon but tall for a woman. Don't sell the guy short just cuz he is a couple of inches shorter. He may make up for it in other area's >wink< ! Do what your heart says to do, not your measuring brain! If it is meant to be then the height thing will not bother you. If it wasn't meant then find a guy you do like.. again.. short or tall... it's all in the loving and moves!

I think that in this case the height doesn't matter...
If u really like this guy and he likes u back, don't worry!
Go out with him and try to enjoy the date
If while u are with him, u still thinkig about those 2 inches
maybe u should forget about him, 'cause that'd be a sign that shows that u care more about the height than about what's inside a person

Just go on a date when he ask you. Have fun. You don't have to marry him. You think to much. Relax.So what that he is 2 inches shorter. It's not the end of the World.

Hun not everything in this world is perfect .If he is close to what you have always wanted and dont want to loos out,over look the hight and injoy life with him.If you seem to have a problem with it,try to think of somthing you do love about him,soon the shortness will go away

My husband is quite a bit shorter than me. Like 6". It is weird sometimes because people notice us a lot more than "normal" couples I think. Who cares though? Are you dating for a soul mate or just a tall guy?

it is unusual for a short guy and a tall girl. short guys can feel a bit intimidated to be with a tall girl cos it can look sort of, not-manly-enough. if it keeps playing on your mind maybe he isnt so perfect. are you going to have to change the way you act or dress to accommodate to his lack of height? try it out and if you feel uncomfortable, just be honest with him

no. they dont. he will never ask you out. despite waht anyone tells you. your freaking sasquatch. you tower over the poor boy. forget about him. height is everything. not timing. HEIGHT. if you are not short, its weird and weird. DO THE FOLLOWING
this will solve everything:
stand under the empire state building, and have your bff 4 life drop a automobile filled to its brim with boiling balls on your head. you will immediately be short again. like when you were first born. great huh? yeah i think of everything.
