Please try this, while in the shower, wet your hair with vinegar, then add a nice amout of baking soda. Rub it into your scalp. It will sizzle, so don't be alarmed. This mixture will break up the dandruff, and won't be harsh on the hair like Head and Shoulders. Add a bit more vinegar, wait a few minutes, then wash and condition as usual.

You can also go out and spend a ton on salon products that will do the same thing.. ex.anything with tea tree oil is good yes. It feels soothing to the head if it itches.

I was reading some of the other answers. Mayo will make your hair greasier, the eggs I don't know about, and the limes could work. The limes are acidic like vinegar, but your still missing a mild abrasion.

Buy some medicated shampoo especially for dandruff at the drugstore. It's better than head and shoulders. Wash often and rinse well! Some dandruff is caused by dry skin, so I'm not sure how often you'd have to wash your hair if this is your case.

H&S doesn't work? Try Selsun Blue? Doesn't work? Try T-Gel. If you live around a Dollar General or Family Dollar, you can get it for $2/bottle rather than paying $9 for the real stuff.

Hope that helps.
