I dont mind but I think the "immediate" family needs to talk and take respnsibility for thier mom. I already went through this with my own mom when she had cancer and feel like it is being thrown on my showlers. But what do you do when nobody talks to each other? Well i guess really what un fair is, when you married your husband taking on the in laws was part of the package and though it might be a troubling if you love your husband then you would help him. I agree that maybe the family should help but I know that if theya re anything like my family it sounds like you are alone in all of this. I say take the women to her appoinments but maybe suggest to your husband that this is getting to be too much for you and you would like someone to take over, maybe like brother jon or sister sally, becuase you need a break. You need to talk to your husband, then call a family meeting so this can be discussed. Tell the family how you feel and ask for help, this is their mother, not yours. I had a similar situation come up in my life a few years back. My husbands father was diagnosed with cancer and there wasnt much of anyone willing to take care of him. My husband and I did as much as we could, and it was very difficult for us to see his other brothers do nothing while we did everything. In the end.... we have no regrets, we did all we could. You need to think about what it is that you are willing to do, and do it. The others have to make that same decision too.
