If it's legal or not, I do not know. But I *DO* know (being a know it all, re: COMMON SENSE) that you can not apply motorcycles to cars. Motorcycles do not have reverse gear, this is true. HOWEVER, motorcycles are not meant to be driven in reverse, they only drive one way - FORWARD!!! Do not relate this issue to a motorcycle.

Sure it's legal. Most motorcycles don't have a reverse gear at all and it's the same consept, or even closer, how about a motorcycle with a sidecar? You could drive around like that without a problem, provided you planned ahead and didn't put yourself into a spot where you needed to back up. You can look all day in any state's statutes and not find a requirement to have a functioning reverse gear.

I dotn think so. it wouldnt be safe. and u cant park which makes ur car a hazard so ide say not. michigan is always crazy with are laws so ide say its not.
