(MS05-004) ASP.NET Path Validation Vulnerability (887219) i cant get rid of that thing. i ran a trend micro house call 6.5 and it said i had to go to a download center to download what i need to kill the virus. it's all to confusing and when i went to download the thing, it said i had to download even more stuff. is there any way to kill the virus (MS05-004) ASP.NET Path Validation Vulnerability (887219) without having to download like 10 things???????

Try another anti-virus prgoram. House call tends to make any virus a "you must absolutely download this, this, and this" type problem. Do a google search for "free anti-virus" and some good ones will show up. Or buy Norton or McAffee.

u can do the 2 other things but let's find out what ms05-004 is first....if u r using winxp go Microsoft .com downloads and use the malicious virus removal tool and use it is should get rid of this

Well House call is a great program sounds like you have a nasty virus and I would recommend doing everything it says.
Or be prepared to reinstall windows.
