I was contacted today by a Lawyer from Florida where my 9 year old lives with his Dad. He informed me that my son had been taken from his Dad's home because his Dad was abusing him real real bad. So my question is how can I get any information on my situation being that I live in California and they lives in Florida? Thank you to anyone that can help me!!

I got a call informing me of the abuse and the where abouts of my son. They tell I could be arrested for child neglect unless I can prove to Fl. courts that Ca. courts gave him custody. Which I can. But as of now they said he can't leave Fl. until all investigation is settled. MY PROBLEM, is what can I do in the mean time? Why isn't now a good time for me to fly out there to be with my baby? I need some help so bad cause I can't just sit here and wait till they say I can fly out there. There;s got to be something I can do for him. Thanks to anyone who can help. It means alot.

Get legal advice! I highly recommend these people they have helped me. www.getprotectedhere.com it is $17 a month in my state for unlimited legal consultation, and a lot of other stuff that I can't possibly get into. it is so worth it and no long term contract so you can try it and cancel if you don't like it. Good luck! In your case it helps that they have a network of lawfirms, so you can call your states provider law firm and they will call the other states law firm. It works really great for multi state issues like this

Call Children's Protective Services in Florida in the town where your 9-year-old was living. They will have a file on him and will be the persons who can give you information on his case. The lawyer who called you should have information also.

Call the attorney and ask who has custody of your son. Ask him if you are still allowed to call your son and ask for the phone number. Ask what agency is calling the shots. You can probably find out what is going on through the agency or the foster parents.

get a lawyer and get him back if ya the mother you have legal right too your son welfare happiness do something find a good lawyer or ask the lawyer how you can get him in ya state to take guardianship over ya ex dad what ever just get him back in ya custdy..he need you now
