Why not just take out the 64 and put in the 128. Or, add the 128 to the 64.

More memory is always better 512 is about the bare min. in todays world. (2 - 256 modules would work nicely in most computers) & good luck.

It's hard to give advice when we don't know what type of computer and RAM you're referring to.

If it is standard SDRAM, then it won't hurt to just add the 128 and not worry about removing the 64.

On some computers you must balance the slots, so you have to have two in there and they have to be the same. Some will let you do whatever. But more RAM is always better, if it will allow you to do it.

The more RAM the better, your computer processes faster if it has a lot of RAM.
