kids go to public school? Do you want to keep people uneducated? Also what is considered uneducated? The ones I know have tons of common sense and know so many things about living off the land that it makes me jealous.

you would all still have to pay those taxes even if the "illegals" were not here. Mexican cat, I am not rich, but I know that the government is never going to let us stop paying taxes, they will not even lower them if all illegals go back to their countries. Get over it.

WOW......I have never looked at it like that.
You are absolutely 100 percent correct.
98 percent of the posts claim that "illegals" are "uneducated" and "stupid".....not knowing a single thing about their struggle, life circumstance....or former education.
98 percent also do not want ANY of the children to get an education in the United States......(regardless of where they were born or how they got here or where they are going or etc.) they don't want them to get an education. That is scary.....education is the key that ignores borders and opens doors.......doors that many who post here could only dream about.
Oh and I don't want to hear the "tax excuse"....or..."send them home".......their parents corrupt employers are responsible for their taxes......and they are home.

You actually had me thinking on this one for a few moments to figure this out. Of course, I must admit some of the replies confused me further.
The issue isn't being educated or not - the issue is being an unskilled worker or not. Unlimited and unchecked legal immigration of unskilled workers has the same effect as unlimited and unchecked illegal immigration.
What that morphs into here is - is there a relationship between unskilled workers and uneducated immigrants (legal or not). And if so, is it cause and effect or a correlation.
I would have to admit in my experience there is no cause and effect or any correlation - I've known many well educated people have to flip burgers for instance - oh, here we get into hiring illegals for cheaper labor like construction - but I'll leave that for another bedtime story.
And by the way I left you a gift - a question for you leaving myself wide open, but I guess you missed it.
Another time.

How about you stop backing the people that enter this country illegally .
Why do you back people that are coming to a America illegally, where they know they are not wanted?
Do you know the negative impact illegals have on the U.S. ?
Do you really care for this country, or just your own agenda ?
Why should I the tax payer, fit the bill to educate some one else kid, when I have children of my own to worry about ?
Why don't the Mexicans protest their own government, instead of mine ?
You only care about your self, you put it into terms like you are some form of humanitarian ... but your agenda is clear .
and before you say anything about me, let me add these 2 things.
I'm more concerned about America, its people, and my family, I will not sit back and let my country, be ran down because the Mexican government cares only for its leaders.
I would love to see Mexico, become truly free from the oppression it is under.. but that is Mexico's problem, it can only be changed by the people , that live there.
To come to America illegally , is selfish of them ,they are hurting America .

I worked my way here-hard work. With very little money. I didn't waste a penny, not even a soft drink. I made it and worked more and went to school-I paid for it!
Now I work a nice job and they are taxing me too death. Are you telling me I have to pay for everyone else? I am not going to the poor house after all my hard work just so someone doesn't have to work hard on their own. If they wanted bad enough they will do it on their own. And don't tell me they can't. Most can read you know-educate yourself. People do that.
Maybe your so wealthy it don't matter but even on my check and I save it is hard to pay for everything. I am not the bank of the world.

I don't want to PAY for their kids to go to public school, thereby depriving my own children of those education funds.
Mexico, as one example, does not provide universal education because it is so expensive. We do provide it here, but those who are not poor pay almost all of the cost of that education for poor people even if the poor people pay all taxes.
We will always be a 'better life' for the children of poor people who won't be educated 'for free' at home, however we pay the cost both in money and in decreased education and services for our own people.
I can see why they want to come, but I can't imagine why we are letting them come. It is a matter of cheap labor for employers being given an entirely disproportionate importance above the interests of the rest of our population.
We let it slide for too long because we felt badly for them, however their numbers are now so large that the impact is too big to let slide.

It is because the illegal immigrants do not pay taxes for their kids to go to school. The American citizens and LEGAL immigrants do and it is really annoying to pay for someone else's child to go to school when they are not doing the same for yours. Also when their children can't speak English, the teacher must forget about all the other kids and focus on the on that can't speak English and is pulling everyone back.

Common sense can not be learned. Look it up. As for education, they are uneducated or they would be able to read the sign that tells them USA border and know that they are now longer in their county? So we need to educate the illiterate too. Wow, the taxes for foreign aid is getting way out of hand, I tell you.

I don't want their kids uneducated, I just want them to stay in their own country to get an education. It's our responsibility to educate our AMERICAN children. I don't think it's right to waste tax money on illegals when we should be spending it on the citizens of this country. You are too blinded by your beliefs to be objective. I don't know why you even ask. It's not like you are going to listen.

Is it our responsibility to educate everyone now? When did that happen? How should we do that to be fair--how many from different part of Africa can come--how many from the Mountains right here? How many from India? The schools might mind their overcrowd but too bad let's run them out of business in different States.
Gee why didn't Bill Gates and Oprah think about that-and that is suppose to be their biggest wish. They are always talking about education--why didn't they suggest we just educate the world---how simple. Send that to them.

to be brutally honest, if you are picking fruit or cleaning toilets, you are most likely uneducated. I am a college student, struggling to pay for books, study, and work at the same time. But it is worth it. I will not have to do those jobs.
