Hummmm............My dog doesn't discriminate between cheese and broccoli stalks-he's a freaking PIG! The only thing we noticed he wont eat is lemon rinds but most anything else he eats. I don't really see where too many big dogs are too particular with most of any one type of food. I don't understand why they feel the need to eat like that either. But i cannot say that cheese is any different from any other food for the man-eating dogs of the world!

Because it is lovely. My German Shepherd Dog goes crazy over cheese. He likes it a lot! If he hears the cheese being cut or smells it, he stops whatever it is he is doing (saving dozy young kids from wells, stopping an old lady from getting mugged) and runs to the kitchen.

All my dogs loved cheese. Just dont give him the real cheese. Stick with processed cheese slices like kraft. The real cheese is too "cheesy" for their systems.

because it tastes a lot better than dog food!! But most dogs prefer a piece of meat over a piece of cheese, because they are natural carnivors.(technically they are omnivores, but all the dogs i know prefer meat). My own dog recently decided that she will only eat meat. Some days i don't want to give her bologna, hot dogs, ground beef, chicken, etc. and try to give her veggies, fruit, or cheese, and she will not touch it!

I had a dog, she would get cheese ears when she heard the bag open, and we would give her some, her favortie was pepper jack

The calcium, i don't know but mine just shows up from where ever when i get out the cheese slices, its like hes psychic.

dog is always having third hand cheese so having it fresh is always a real treat
