this is a relatively simple technique for a faster person with balls and a brain. if your opponent is an unfourtunate person that doesn't understand that he is facing up with a trained and seasoned martial artist, say, some drunk moron that was harasing your girlfriend, there are always plenty of those. If this person opens up with a large haymaker of a right hand intended to send your jaw into the wall that is about thirty feet to your right...back to the technique. this is a slow punch, it will give you almost a full three quarters of a second to first understand the situation take a sip of your beer, then move into position, easiest transitional stance is right foot forward, bringing up your right hand moving it in front of your face, almost as if you are swatting away a fly, at the same time as this is happening ease your head roughly four inches to the right, your hand will push his wrist away from your head, which is likewise moving away, when his arm is fully extended or very close to being fully extended, clamp your hand down on his wrist. Keeping his arm full extended by swinging back around his arm and switching your footing by planting your left foot and moving back your right foot. Continue to draw his arm in the same direction that it was moving, off-balancing him so he will have one ***** of a time moving away. Now the actual arm lock/break technique. For an instantanious break, make certain that his thumb is pointing towards the floor, then beat that mofo's elbow with a straight punch/palm/forearm/axe kick (not an axe kick that's just being silly) and the elbow will snap with no hesitation. The bar from this position is basically as simple, after the foot switch and draw forward, instead of merely attacking his elbow with a violent tendancy, keep twisting and place your arm pit roughly an inch on the tricept side of his elbow, apply pressure in the obvious way of lifting his wrist (make sure it's pointed to the ground) and easing down with your entire body on his arm pit, keep drawing him forward and downward and he will have nowhere to go except to the ground with you.

First you stun them by smashing your fist against their temple. Then you grab their hand and yank it toward you and spin your outside hand around their elbow to get it into position. Leverage their arm with a quick thrust to shatter their elbow and rip the ligaments of the shoudler girdle. Throw them to the floor. Kick them in the head once they are on the floor.

That is the correct way to use the arm bar technique.

There is something important to understand about what I just said. Grappling, maimers and strikes are being used here in a certain pattern to achieve certain goals. That pattern is very important. VERY important. If you think you are going to simply grab someone and apply hold or a lock, think again. I can almost guarentee that you will be killed doing that. Someone (like me for isntance) is going to stab you if you try that.

That depends in what position you are attcked from or approaching from. Your opponent sometimes do not anticipate your move...so it is easier once your opponent had rendered his arm upright it is cuffed by your left arm in the center and spin around quicly and your opponent will not fall, but one more move will break his arm making this a three move caption. Two moves will submit him in very much pain.

depends on the position you find yourself in. from side contol would probably be the easiest, but hard to explain. Opponent tilted up on left hip, grab the right arm with both hands to cause a release, if he doesnt release use your foot esp. if he's holding onto a gi or his own wrist to prevent from taking it. drop your right hand to the ground, quickly swing your leg over to where your hand was..You have to litrally sit on your opponant and bring your weight forward putting you right foot where you had your hand braced..get your left leg over, hips up knees pushing together, fall backwrds keep the guys thumb towrd the ceiling, make sure you have your grip down to the elbow..Whamm tapout city..But I'd have to show ya in person ) :

from the guard you want to isolate one of your opponents arm, while pushing with the opposite foot to the arm you have hold of(in this case we will imagine the left). After pushing with your left leg on your opponents hip to swivel your hips to your right you need to at such point lifting your right leg across your opponents chest by his neck. Arch your back, lean and wait for the tap or the crack.

To answer it simply...

Block his strike to the outside, grab his wrist, press on the crook in his elbow, and do a corkscrew to bring him to the ground.

On the inside, just grab his wrist and twist his arm the way it doesn't bend and corkscrew him to the ground.

I agree with Johnny Blaze: from which position(s)? Nobody would willingly be put in an arm bar unless you are practicing with him/her.

for jui jitsu, get them in the guard, grap one of their arms and bring it into your body, move your hips, one leg around the face, extend legs, and pull arm.
