Say in your perfect world - You prove there is no God and everybody believes you---Ok what then???
Do you want us all to go out and have sex with animals and pee on each other - or kill whoever we want when we have a bad day???
Are you jealous of people who have faith in God??
Do you crave the power it would give you if you prove there is no God??
Have people who claimed they believed in God done bad things to you??
Just trying to find your motivation in trying to disprove a force from which all living things come from.

Again, My question does not state that I personally believe in a God. I just want to find the motavation for people who actively try to disprove a God. May I get an answer without attacks on the faith that I do not claim to have in the question.....Please:)

Well, its not up to us to dis prove god. First, you must prove god, then, we can submit it to scientific scrutiny like everything else.
Ohhh, BTW, your question assumes that god exists and thus why try to dis prove him. If you are going to make a question like this at least back it up with some actual proof of god before asking me to dis prove it.

I wish to disprove God so that people no longer waste time and resources on a myth.
I have morals and values, and believe that a close-to-Utopian society wouldn't include religion.
I have no need to to go out and have sex with animals and pee on others, or kill whoever I want when I have a bad day. I don't have those urges, and I believe that society is not based on religion and so it would still stand once religion does not.
I am not jealous of people who believe a thing I do not, in some cases I pity them, a mind is a sad thing to waste.
I hold no power now, why would I later if everyone believed what I know?
Being religious does not make one a good person, so yes, I have had "bad things" done to me by "upstanding and moral Christians".
Does this explain it to you? I do not hate god or follow the devil, as I know neither exist.

Opinion from a biophysicist undergraduate:
It's not that we want a world of immorality, or want to cause suffering or hardship to those who have faith. The motivation behind biophysical science is to shed ignorance. By understanding the inter workings of nature and the universe we will progress to more benefits for the the human population; a common moral theme reiterated by most religions.
Just because a person does not believe in god does not mean that they do not believe in accountability of their actions; justice; and goodwill to others.
How many people have died in the name of god that shouldn't have? Belief in an infallible god by humans can easily be misinterpreted. Look at terrorists; or the Spanish inquisition; or WWII. Sure, the millions of deaths may be blamed on madmen; but these madman did it in the name of god. These actions were only able to be carried out on such a massive scale because peoples faith blindly give these men their power. Why continue this....
We would be doing are children a great disservice if we believed god would take care of the problems on earth without our action and innovation. The more people that understand this; the faster progress will be.

Okay, six questions here.
Answer 1: Why try to prove or disprove anything? To know for sure. Don't you believe all other religions to be false and their followers' faith self-delusion? How do I know your faith isn't self-delusion? Personally, I don't try to prove or disprove any god, I figure I'll die soon enough and find out then.
Answer 2: Then no more religion-motivated wars. People doing good just because it is good, not because they'll get rewarded after death. And a small increase in evil when the people who behave only because they're afraid of hell stop worrying.
Answer 3: No, but people who don't believe in God don't inevitably behave that way. How about justifying the bad acts of believers? Not referring to witch-burning or exploitation of savages, referring to violence between different denominations.
Answer 4: Sure am. Must be nice to be able to do things other people say are bad but which aren't bad for you to do because God (Allah, Whoever) said you should do them.
Answer 5: Please describe this power, I don't know what you mean.
Answer 6: I didn't ask the people who did bad things to me about their religious beliefs.

I assume most people that would attempt to disprove god are doing it for the same reason people attempt to prove the existence of a god, to force their beliefs, even indirectly on someone else, or in some rare cases to avoid decapitation. What better way to say "your sky fairy sucks!" than to prove that it does not exist? Sure there are some people who just like the logic problems posed by such proofs on both sides, and they are good for debate, but it all comes back to telling someone that their belief is wrong. Of note, I've come accross many more ontological proofs than those arguing against a god.
Also you seem to have the idea that people will revert to barbarism if not being watched to make sure they don't masturbate. Just because you don't have someone peeping on you all the time doesn't mean that there is no more good and bad and that morality gets thrown out the window. Instead it means that you are forced to think for yourself and justify your own actions rather than appeal to authority for your moral code. Oh how tragic, we need to think about why it's a bad Idea to rip someone's heart out and feast on their flesh rather than have someoen else tell us why on a stone slab.
I am not jealous of people that believe in god(s). For the most part they are cool people, but on both sides of the theological fence there are ***** that make the rest of us look like idiots.
There is no power in proving that there is no god. This is not the highlander. I am not McCloud. I wish I had a broadsword. Honestly, if I showed you a mathematical proof that I claimed disproved the idea of a god would you give a ****? What power do I have to gain from proving something I already believe to be true?
The guy who runs this site, http://biblocality.com/ , is a dick and owes several people money for disproving his perfect proof of god. does that count towards doing bad things?

I think the world would be better off without such a belief. Religion doesn't have a very good track record for promoting humanist ideals. Maybe without religion we could be more tolerant of others instead of dwelling on what god concept they believe and if they are sinners or not.
What's with the sex with animals and killing part of the question...you have a rather warped view of how atheists understand morality. It's better just to ask the why part of the question and save the assumptions....you know the whole saying about what assuming things does. Anyway, thanks for adding more weight to my idea that getting rid of religion would help promote tolerance.

Nobody is trying to disprove god. What's the point of trying to disprove something that cannot be proven to exist in the first place? You've got a real problem with sloppy thinking. Plus, you're a sorry excuse for a human being if you need some imaginary diety to tell you how to behave. Rational people conduct their lives in a moral manner for the simple reason that that's what we need to do in order to get along.
I dread the thought that you might stop believing in your god, since you lack the moral fiber to behave yourself without it. From your own testimony, it seems you would try to pee on us, or kill us.
You need to get a grip, Bubba... and get a life.

Sex with animals? Pee on each other? Murder? Yeah, you are a really prejudiced @ss to say such things when you are NOT a non believer and can NOT rightfully speak for US and who we are. You seriously have problems, lunatic! You are nasty and have a less moral mind then most of us.
I mean really, I don't even post to put down your beliefs, but you have to spew this rotten (probably "satan" driven? hah) prejudiced false garbage, what a freak. But I guess wars, killing, and things brought on by religion are just fine though... And you know, few people are to blame for that except people back in a day that were just like YOU.

Moron ! You suggest that Believers, once god has been disproven, will turn towards bestiality and murder (and pee on each other - I think you have a golden shower fetish, perhaps hidden in your closet). As Atheists at the moment do NOT do those things (in great numbers anyway, it's rare that you see murderers pee on their animal victims), you therefor do not really trust your fellow Believers, do you, do you, do you ?
Question marks ? That's what the Enquirer uses as an excuse as well. Classy !

Hi,
It appears that you have a great faith in our LORD. Live a perfect life in and through our Lord Jesus Christ. You stand before the Father each day in white robes washed through the blood of Christ. Praise Him daily.
God the Father leads us who He has pre-destined since from before the first Earth Age to His Son Jesus Christ. Others have a free will to choose or not. Still other, are blessed with a stupor so as not to commit the unforgivable sin.
Let God. ><>

If 80% of the population believed in Santa (not you though), and they totally dominated every aspect of society with Santa nonsense, and passed laws with no legitimate purpose other than to satiate their Santa beliefs, and were pushing to introduce alternative theories of aerodynamics in public schools that explain how a sleigh can fly without a propulsion system, don't you suppose you might speak up?
It's human nature to try to correct errors (especially in others!). But when those falsehoods also threathen your own freedom, the case is much more than that of mere irritation.
