There are lot's of stray cats outside my home, at least 3 generations. Everytime I go outside or get home you can see them scatter from my porch, driveway, under our cars. The worst part is my 4 yr. old is frightened of them and will scream and refuse to walk to or from the house. Can someone tell me how to get rid of them SAFELY!

1. Don't feed them, or they will see you as an easy food souse..
2. Call your local animal control, or humane society, or go there, they can set safe traps for them to take them out of your yard.
I live in Florida, and as dumb as it sounds, if you feed or take care of the cats for more then a week,( I think it is), It's coincided yours..
3. Make sure your garbage cans are covered.
4. Don't let your kitty get near them, they could have all kinds of disease, including fleas and ticks, worms, upper respiratory infections, all kinds of things as this, as well as fighting with your kitty..
She knows this too even if she can't "tell" you.

buy a animal trap, like one for racoons then bait it with wet food, then either release elsewhere OR take them to humane society. wear thick gloves though when near the strays and immedietly clen and disenfect any scratches you may get cause you could get sick, try baiting the trap with wet cat food. i had a stray problem and i did the trap and release and the strays never returned...thank god! the animal shelter may even be able to lend some traps out, the traps are totally humane and will not hurt the animals.

I suggest buy mines illegally and set them up in ur back yard. After that have a few guns attached to a trip wire that would shoot at the cats.
Now for it to be safe, just put warnings up and spray paint over the mines for future demining.

Get a Hav-a-hart trap from Home Depot - catch them and take them to the animal shelter. Or call animal control.

Call your local animal shelter and ask for an animal control officer. They will come out and take the cats away.
It doesn't cost you anything!

Depends on where you're at. There may be charges involved...nothing's free anymore. Might need to get a live trap and some tuna. Once you have them trapped, you can drop them at the humane society....if they won't come to get them.
