I believe Floyd Landis will win the 2006 Tour de France but only if he can get sufficient help from his Phonak mates. The Phonak squad is not as strong as previous Discovery/U.S. Postal teams that helped Lance Armstrong to victory in years past. The next two stages are crucial tests of the mettle of the Phonak team and Landis specifically, but should he survive the Alps with the maillot jaune on his back then I'm confident Floyd will win--further upsetting the French, who I suspect have grown weary of the Americans' recent dominance of this event.

I actual ought to believe Breezinbybike. the reason being in case you look on the favorites, they're competing with riders that are not particularly a lot almost as good because the riders Lance raced with contained in the previous. This guy purely took 2d in an MTB race and he remains doing triathlons right here and there besides. he will be waiting and that i believe that he will win. maximum athletes come decrease back and are not quite contained in the finest of structure, yet Lance under no circumstances left the motorcycle on my own after he retired. upload to the undeniable reality that maximum riders do not even come into their personal till they're of their 30's supplies Lance a good better benefit. this isn't some mundane interest like football, basketball or baseball wher you've destryed your knees by technique of the time you attain your mid 30's. triumphing isn't almost youngsters- it is better about journey. the subsequent club journey you bypass on or see, inspect what number of human beings between 35 and 50 are contained in the speedy crew- many of the riders are in that type. Many nevertheless race, yet maximum produce different responsibilties of their lives that ward off them from devoting adequate time to race. nevertheless, the verge of cave in to attain at that high quality frequently isn't finished before a rider is in his 30's- except some thing of the field are of their 20's and eco-friendly besides.

As of stage 14, it looks like the main contenders are going to be Floyd Landis (2nd), Denis Menchov (4th), or Cadel Evans (?)

I think that Kloden has the best chance. He moved up significantly in today's mountain stage and will emerge as the T-Mobile leader. Discovery does not have anyone capable. As far as US riders go, only Floyd and Levi have a chance and I think that Levi does not have it in him.

It will come down to Floyd or Kloden, with the edge going to Kloden.

Just my thoughts...

I'm hoping for Landis, Zabriskie, Hincapie, or Leipheimer (or any combination on the final podium)!
