My 5 year old daughter has little raised bumps on her armpit and on the inside of her upper arm. She doesn't complain of them itching or hurting. I have never seen anything like it. I've tried to find information about these bumps, but I haven't been able to find anything. Has anyone else's child had these sort of bumps, if so how did you treat them? I don't know if I should take her to the doctor for it, or if it's nothing to worry about.

My 3 year old just developed the exact same thing. They are skin clor, maybe slightly red, raised, but cause her no discomfort of any kind! I havent decided whether or not to take her to the Dr. yet either. Feel free to email me if you find anything out, I myself would love to know! And if I do, is it okay to drop you a line?

This may be a thing called mollusculliam(sp?)
Both of my kids got this mess--from a swimming pool=it's awful, however,it can be treated with Retin-A--and will go away==if it is this--it can take several treatments nightly and a few weeks before it goes away.
I took my kids to a dermatologist--and she gave us the meds and diagnosis.
This skin condition can easily be caught by playing on the playground equipment, swimming pools, etc.
These bumps can get inflamed and burst causing them to spread rapidly.
Look up skin problems on the I-net--they have many pictures that can help you decide what the child may have!

That sounds like swollen lymph nodes. It could be related to diet (too much starch, I think), an infection, or some other problem. At any rate, this would be a good thing to ask your doctor. It is something that should be looked at. Keep track of the location, size, and how long they have been there. Do not try to squish them too much.

Despite my moniker, I'm not an MD, so my medical knowlege pales in comparison to your doctor. Please see the doctor on this one.

it's hard to tell without seeing these bumps. could be an allergig reaction to something maybe her own sweat since they are in that area. or warts. my daughter had some warts when she was 5. she went a lot to the pool that time. they went away after awhile without any treatments.people have all kinds of weird allergies now, you may want to go to the doctor and have that checked out.

Is it like a rash, or an internal bump? Maybe it's heat rash from the summer, or just dry skin. If it was lymph nodes I believe they would feel like little knots but wouldn't cause a redness on the skin.
