Usually, marriage is about the commitment between two people; not three or four or however many kids people have these days.
It's about the two individuals wanting to share their lives with one another. Having children is not a requirement. Marriage is not even a prerequisite to having children. Both are mutually exclusive.
I think all too often people think that marriage is the answer to having children, but you can still have children and not be married. Or look at all the people who end up divorced after having the kids. Or the kids are the reason they get divorced because one half of the marriage didn't really want them, but felt like it was the "right thing to do". It's all about freedom of choice.

No. I have been married 3 years and no baby, also no plans on ever having kids in the future. Just because you get married does not mean you have to have a baby.

Not everybody wants to raise kids. If I knew how hard it was going to be, I would have gotten a cat. That said, I love my girls, but it is HARD WORK!!! Absolutely not NECESSARY for marriage. Although, I might add, my pastor and I have disagreed about this recently.... I'm not giving in yet.

jesus merciful heavens NO! children should be wanted, not produced. That's like someone giving you a cat on their death bed and you are allergic to cats! Nothing in life is necessary, it has to be wanted. If one or both of the spouses don't want children, then children should not be had.

No, but some people may pressure you because they feel this is the main reason to enter into marriage, or because they want some grandchildren. If you don't feel the need or want to have children then please don't. It is not necessary

it isn't necessary for a married woman to do anything she doesn't feel in her heart is right for her. children aren't for all!!! If you know you don't want them then don't, you'll only resent them later for ever having them.
