I have a warrant for never showing up to court for my Dui.?
I want to go into the DMV to get my license but i am afraid that they might find my warrant and arrest me. i am in theprocess of getting my court issue settled but it may take some time for my lawyer. Anyways i can definately get my license back because its been over 2 years but will they arrest me due to having a warrant?

They can arrest you for having a warrant if they want you bad enough they will come to your house. Now if they will do it at the dmv's office I would think not. I wouldnt see why your would be flagged i have never heard of that before but I guess it would just depend on what state you live in.
As far as a Dui cant they take your license away again for that. They may very well put that on there to or is it old???

No doubt, they can arrest you for the warrant. As long as the warrant is outstanding, any police officer can arrest you on sight. As for the two years without driving, guess what?, that was self imposed, as far as the court is concerned, since you never showed up for court, they never passed sentence on you, which will include a license suspension, so your two years under the law doesn't start until you face the charges in court.

My advise is to go to the court house, throw yourself on the mercy of the court, ask how it can be resolved. You may score points for turning yourself in.

wow, why didnt you just go to court and finish it .. its not like you robbed a bank or anything... and how do you know that you can get your license back if you never went to court to get sentenced? lol at any rate, i would ask the lawyer that is working on the case, or simply call the police department and ask about your outstanding warrant ... if the lawyer is working on it, it could be that the warrant has already been dropped.
