I find it offensive that a big title the "pro-illegal immigrant" group is using to describe themselves is "La Raza", which literally translates into, "The Race." I'm curious if anyone else has pondered the thought.

I agree it's wrong. I have been thinking and asking if there is a chance to sue the city or owners of a new building that went up in my town called De Plaza De La Raza. If I asked for permission to build a business building called the Caucasian Center of Commerce do think I would really have a chance. Even if I did some racist from De La Raza would sue or burn it down. And the ACLU would support them no doubt.

It's kinda offensive, yeah. Why do they call themselves "The Race" when they are staying illegally in a foreign country.
La Raza sounds like spanish. This group may be composed of mexicans. I heard they are having a protest against the US Immigration Law.

Not really offensive, La Raza has been around a long time and in the west we are used to it.

Yes, I do. The race, implies much more than "oh, I just so happy I'am Mexican". Usually it is accompanied with some crap about how "yankees" stole the American southwest and how "the race" will take it back. Imagineif Americans went around saying White pride.......oh, thats right-some people do..But usually they are retards in the KKK or Aryan Nation. But that all part of the double standard here in the States.

I means the Mexican Race. I dont find it offensive. Many Mexicans used the term before that group came to be. My brother-in-law has a bumper sticker that says "viva la raza" it has nothing to do with the current media of immigration. He is just proud to be Mexican. I joke around with him that I am going to change it someday to "Arriba los gabachos". He has no problem with Americans, he is just happy he is who he is.

I am Mexican American and I don't even think about things like La Raza, some do perceive them as radical. They do not they offend me in the least. I am proud of my culture, and I am proud to be an American.

Why is it when people say they are proud to be Italian, or Irish, when they celebrate St Patrick's day and get drunk, no says a thing. Those things don't bother me either.....

Get over your paranoia, we are not out to invade your country, which happens to be ours as well, some cultures and people are allowed to be proud, there is no shame in that...

If you think that's offensive you should read their constitution and rules then be a pal and figure out for me why our taxes are paying for hate groups.

Just a thought.

My history in school taught me about another organization that stood for the same ideals the race, or the master race - and we all know what happened to them.
