Not at all -- just in Genesis, according to James Dobson of the ill-named "Focus on the Family":

As part of an attack on Christianity Today magazine, in which Andy Crouch (in his article "Environmental Wager") urged Christians to become concerned about and active in fighting global warming.

Dobson and FOF continue to believe that global warming is "junk science," preferring his bible-based "science."

On October 8, 2004 Dobson and FOF issued their "Must Read Election Message" of which the sixth item on their list was, in part:

Natural resources: God put human beings on the earth to "subdue it" and to "have dominion" over the animals (Gen. 1:28)... . The Bible does not view "untouched nature" as the ideal state of the earth, but expects human beings to develop and use the earth's resources wisely for mankind's needs (Gen. 1:28; 2:15; 9:3; 1 Tim. 4:4)... . We believe the ethical choice is for candidates who will allow resources to be developed ...

In a series of articles, the Washington Post detailed not only how the Bush administration was trashing environmental regulation, but how it was at the behest of the Religious Right and Big Business working hand in hand.

There is never a reason to trash the environment. Even if you believe in the rapture it could be tomorrow, a year from now, 1000 years from now.. who knows. Why ruin the world for everyone else.

The rapture will not occur when most Christians think it will. They have been deceived by a few clever and unwittingly heretical preachers, teachers and novelists. Get ready folks the tribulation is coming and guess what, YOUR GOING TO GO THROUGH IT!
But to answer your question, to hell with the environment. We all have to die at some point. The other thing is evolutionists should know that we will adapt to the toxins in our environment and morph to another species. Environmentalist, Evolutionist, same difference.

Belief in the rapture is only for those who don't understand the Bible: Proverbs 2:21, 22

I've never heard that used as an excuse for poor stewardship of this planet that God has given us to live on but I suppose with all of the messed up people someone has probably said something like that. It certainly isn't backed up by what's written in the Bible.

Genesis 2:15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

FYI, the rapture is nowhere in the Bible. The idea of the rapture was created in the late 19th century by a few southern evangelican preachers.

I do believe that some think this way... I met some Mormons recently and I mentioned that I saw An Inconvenient Truth and that it presented some alarming data....

They looked at me and said, "Don't worry about stuff like that. We're in God's hands."

No, you just rely on other people to solve your problems for you. Sometimes, I think religion really does hurt more than it helps.

The rapture is going to take place, whether or not people believe in it or not. As for the rest of your question, I have no idea what you were asking.

John 3:16-18
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Doesn't sound like you're going to be raptured mate! If that is what you normally do to trash things then that is how your parents brought you up. are you a joy to them? Doesnt sound like you are even very happy with yourself.

If you believe in the rapture, then you know it already happened IN THE LIFETIME OF JESUS' CONTEMPORARIES as he said it would.

Even if you believe a rapture is yet to come, you would not dare insult god by implying he needs your help to bring it about. In the meantime, love thy neighbor as thyself, and I think that includes leaving the earth as nice a place as you found it for your neighbor and his/her progeny.
