Thou shalt never question the Ten Commandments. Thou shall always learn from prior mistakes so that history does not keep repeating itself hence we better the world we live in and the one we leave behind to our young ones. Thou shall not look into the Internet if Thou claims to be an atheist. If Thou is searching for truth, revert to the beginning of my response. May the Force be With YOU.

Obnoxious atheist nonsense. I'm sure they realize how offensive that must be to many Christians and yet they went ahead and did it anyway (no doubt they think themselves very clever). I could go through each of those "commandments" individually but it's not worth the time.

And I think it's amusing that the website is called "ethical atheist". What basis does ethics have in an atheistic worldview? If we're all nothing but accidents, there's no reason not to look out for your own interests above everything else. I'm not saying that an atheist cannot be "ethical", just that they don't have any logical basis for it according to their own beliefs.

All they have to do is read and live by the first commandment of God:

Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength.

Do that, and the rest takes care of itself.

I do not think so. I tend to favor the original. A few of these are okay, but some do not belong. What is the big deal with Church and State? Our country was founded on freedom OF religion, NOT freedom FROM religion.

It's good. I think it's a way that maybe Christians could realize there needs to be a revolution in their church, to get back to basics.

How funny, these are close to my personal code of ethics. Very nice, and followable.

I like it...I'm a member of their forums even though I have been too busy to post there for a few months now.

I like them. They make a great deal of sense. But it's still not a sin if you don't follow them.

Its interesting that atheists would feel compelled to replace commandments they don't believe in with ones that they do.
