Question about Itaewon?

I am wondering what to visit when traveling in Itaewon. Thanks!

I would get on a bus, and travel out of Itaewon.
It's where a vast majority of the foreigners 'hang out'... so it's where you can find lots of Western restaurants.
It doesnt even feel like you're in Korea there...
They do have a great Indian restaurant there though, called "New Delhi" its up the little road next to Pizza Hut. That's the only reason I go to Itaewon.

The buses that go to Itaewon, will take you Nam Dae Mun, Myeong Dong and other more interesting places to visit in Seoul.
Even the city bus tour goes through there.. that's a good city tour to take, you can get on and off the bus at places of interest to you. It's a great way to see Seoul, and some traditional Korean places, as well as main tourist areas.

I totally agree with kara_nari.

Skip Itaewon and go to the other markets instead.

There is nothing special about Itaewon other than there are other Westerners there. It is somewhat dangerous after dark with too many drunk Westerners and Koreans.

there's really no place in itaewon to visit. it's just kind of a street with lots of back alleys that wind around leading to nothing really. wherever you go though you'll find lots of cool things to buy. lots of imitation brands there so be wary of that. but some nifty stuff to buy and good street vendors that sell tasty treats. just walk around. you'll find something of interest around there

There is a usuful iphone app that you can download the off-line maps of these club areas. Lots, and LOTS of fun shopping. Theres American restaurants there too thank god, and if you look hard enough, you'll find american brand labeled clothes there too. There is alot of underground places to purchase fake LV purses but yeah that's really about it.

shopping place for good bargains, from non-orig LV bags to shoes,rolex watch, leathers, name it, you can negotiate the price, ask hotel personnels for good and reasonable or fine restaurants, you might want to visit lotte world. annuang haseyo !!!
