I just returned a 2003 Honda Accord and my lease payment was about $300 per month after amortizing the downpayment and disposition fee. I want to lease another new full-sized car comparable to an Accord or Camry. I'm also considering Altima, Sonata, Optima, and US makes like Malibu or Fusion.

I currently see Honda advertises $199 per month (on their website) plus about $3700 at closing. That works out to about $300 per month. Nissan has a similar offer for the Altima. What should I expect to pay and how would you find the best deal? Internet, walk-in, third-party, what?

TCO: Thanks for the reply but it sounds like your talking about an open end lease. I would never do that. I just turned in my prior lease and settled with no problem. All I had to do was pay the termination fee of $350 (which varies by contract) and I was done. The current value of the vehicle is their problem not mine, per the contract. Either your state is very different than Texas or you're not familiar with the way most leases work.

Unless you need the lease for tax purposes I would never touch that financing option. You are at the dealer's or auction's mercy when you return that vehicle. I would go in as a cash buyer which usually gets you the best price.
