Are any of you a Chartered Accountant or CPA???Help?

Question

I have just finished my degree in accounting and want to persue an accounting career and would like to do a CA or CPA program. I dont know which one to opt for and what criteria i should look for to base my decision.

If any of you have done one of the above courses can you please give me your views and tell me if they are really very different and hard in comparison.

I am currently living and working as a finance officer in Australia.
