No. But there is a very good grooming tool, available at PetSmart and through Ebay and many other online marketers, called the Furminator. If you get one of these and give your cat a good weekly combing with it, there will be much less shedding.

Cats will always shed, especially after the cold winter months, but I know there are good cat foods for this and certain oils... ask a vet

Really good cat food. I have three and we use nature choice and shedding is down to a minimum. Science diet is good to. Even though it is little more expensive the cats eat less of it because it has more of what they need. Chicken is the 1st ingredient and not chicken by product or corn meal like the cheaper cat food. Plus they poop less. And their urine doen't smell like amonia.

I have the same problem with my cat. I asked my vet, and he said there's not much I can do. You can give your cat some vitamins, but he/she will always shed. Try to groom your cat regularly -- if you can, brush him/her every day and take him/her regularly to a grooming salon for a bath, or bathe him/her yourself if he/she's good and won't scratch you ;-)

A good food, not Friskies or the like, is the most important thing you can do. I suggest Science Diet or Neutro Max. Otherwise regular grooming to remove loose fur will help. Also keep a tool handy to remove fur from clothing just before you leave home.

Nope. You can resort to religious brushing and that will cut down on the shedding all over everywhere else. Good luck.

yes, you can try giving the cat Brewer's yeast. It is sold at all pet stores and wal-mart. In the pet section with vitamins. It helps my cat and 2 dogs.

You can try brushing him more often. You can also buy a moist wipe that claims to reduce shedding..I have never tried it though.I guess it's worth a try!
