Ok i just want to know is it bad to be 14 and curse ALOT...cause yea i curse ALOT...is that a bad thing??

Some people find cursing offensive, in this case yeah it's a bad thing. Personally, I don't find cursing offensive..but when you hear a person regardless of age curse a lot, it's just tasteless. When I was younger every other word was a curse word. I didn't mind saying it and I certainly didn't care if I offended anybody. But as I got older, I realized how immature it was to talk that way. Now when I hear younger people curse a lot, it makes them look really immature, disrespectful, and uneducated. Can't they find better words to say to express themselves? I think it's a phase your going through, cuz it seems like a lot of teenagers talk that way. But being that you even asked the question, tells me that you are aware of your cursing and that's good. Maybe you'll stop cursing and learn to communicate in a more mature manner.

Cursing usually means a person does not have a very good vocabulary. But, it can also mean that a lot of bad stuff has happened in your life and you don't have the words to express the anger and hurt. Only you know the answer to that.

well i don't think it is necessarily a bad thing. cuz my older sister started cursing when she was like in 6th grade. (which is a lil young but... now my brother is going into 7th and he is starting to curse... and we tell him not to but i now that i think of it that is really hypocritical but i guess he just seems still so young and my sis well she was the oldest. but she was never aloud to cuss in front of our younger siblings.) Sry got thrown off topic. But yeah ur 14 and curse i don't really find it bad. Do ur parents have a problem with it? cuz if so then it is a bad thing. but my mom didn't have a problem wit my sister doing it as long as it wasn't around younger kids. but hey when i was 14 i knew tons of other 14 yr olds that cursed. so no prob. but as for me i think you know how old i am. but im around cursing ALOT(school, home, computer, tv, just about ne where i go) but i decided to try not to. so i don't curse but i mean i have b4 a few times but i also mainly don't do it just to be a lil different. But i don't think its bad you curse. excpet if there are people who are highly respected i wouldn't curse around them.

ok well i am 13 and a curse alot you just have to be careful not to do it around adults/parents. I mean i curse alot alot alot. It's fine don worry bout it.

There are many that would say that cursing is the surest sign of immaturity.
There are millions of words in the English language, and you only speak those that you learn. If you find that you are using them too much, perhaps you need to learn some new ones to take their place/better articulate yourself?

Yes it is. I seriously don't know why somebody has to swear without any apparent reason. Does swearing make you a higher status symbol. No it does not. Remember, you could pursue doing this, but in the future you would have a very difficult time just to get it out of your system. Try and swear lesser and you would actually see that people respect you more.

it really does matter who you are around I'm around a lot of cursing. So when I was 14 I cursed a lot. I really don't like to curse and my mom doesn't like it aether. till this day I try to stop.

Like my dad has always told me and like I now tell my children...people who swear must be stupid because they can't think of a better word to describe what they want to say. Every once in awhile most everyone slips....but try to keep it under control. When your 14 it may seem cool because it;s taboo...bad...ooooooh! Look at the rebel! Cursing is the feeble mind trying to make a point and not having the right words for it. It's disrespectful, makes you look and seem utterly stupid to others, and it sounds horrible.

Yes it is bad. Cursing is a lazy person's way of not having to think up intelligent adjectives to spice up their speech with. It makes you look ignorant and unrefined.
