I want you to explain this one away, Mr. Know It All. If the Bible and God are fake, how come in Amos, chapter 5, verse 8, it talks about the 7 stars of Pleiades and Orion? There is no way people that many years ago could have known about that because the last star was only discovered after Hubble was put into use. As for God sending people to hell, He never did. We do that all by ourselves by rejecting Him. You have a choice and free will. May God forgive you your arrogance.

All though you were a little rude I like your question.
Your right most religions try to scare people into believing their going to a burning hell if they don't get saved & they tell them they're burn but never die! The truth is the bible does not teach this at all. Ask them to give proof that this is taught in the bible. You'll get some bible verses but you won't get any real proof.
There's not enough space or time to even try to prove to you here that God is real but there is proof! Just saying beleive or have faith is really dumb. Just because you saw a show on tv about the creation of the moon doesn't prove that what you saw & heard was true. If your not afraid of a challenge I would like to email you & send you proofs that God exists one at a time. When you put them together than you can answer me honesty if I didn't give you real proof. Also I will look at any proof that you have about how we all got here on earth!

I completely agree with you (except for a few details, and I would have phrased it more kindly). That's not the point though, one thing I have always disliked about the idea of a god that punishes people for not blindly having faith in him (why the hell is it a him?), while there is plenty of evidence pointing in the other direction, and only words in a book that could have been made by anyone in favor of a god. Even if a god such as this did exist, I would be just as happy to deny that fact, for I would never be able to worship or follow this kind of god.

That's my 16 cents, and I hope it helps more than these answers merely insulting you or making claims backed up by no logic.

You have a lot of good answers here so I'll just say that I believe that if you are a good person in life people see it and take advantage of you and when you die you come back as another good person to start the cycle over. If you are evil you will die and come back probably as one of those pit bulls they show on Animal Planet that are beat and abused by the idiots that own them. Sick, isn't it to think that we can say we own anything as we will die and someone else will borrow it til they die.We should only care for animals and not say we own them or the land.BUT for the big one !!= Maybe if the biga$$ churches were made to pay tax we could have national health care ! They are tax exempt and that it the biggest scr*w job there is when they take up acres of land and push more animals out of areas just to worship in a nice building. If they worshiped a God at home they would save on pollution as you speak about! Sorry YippyYahQQ , I kinda got off the main road again.

I have a feeling you're just ranting for the attention. If you truly believed the bile you're spouting you wouldnt even bother coming in here to yap about a God you say you don't believe in.

For your information - you don't go to hell for not believing in Jesus. All men are bound for extermination - and you have to view it sin as a lethal disease for which there is no cure but through Jesus.

If you contract a terminal disease and I had the cure - and you rejected it because nothing else seemed to help people, your fate is on you.

Our only escape is to accept the free gift of Salvation from hell Through Christ Jesus. If you cant accept that - then I don't know what to tell you. I can lead a horse to water - but I cant make him drink.

Whoever hurt you to make you so hateful must have been a really bad experience. Trust in what you will, but when you face God on judgment day you will not so easily be able to tell your Judge that no one told you. Your own life's record will stand as testimony against you. Jesus or not - its your choice.

You aren't forced to believe in anything. God gave you free will. You can choose to believe, or you can choose not too. It's up to you. Hell isn't used as a gun and you don't have to love anyone you don't want to, not even God. Hell is simply a reality of the supernatural, just like God is.

You are correct that no one can show you proof that God exists. However, neither can you show me or anyone else proof that He doesn't exist.

There are lots of evils in the world - people dying of wars, famine, disease. God, however, did not cause any of this. Men, sinful men, with our pride and gross arrogance and stupidity, took the gift of free will and perverted it and twisted it. We are the ones slaughtering each other, not God. If we want it to stop, then we have to ask for forgiveness and turn back Him that is Truth and Life. Otherwise, we have only horrible deaths to look forward to.

God bless,

Danny

People often forget they have brains when it comes to a topic such as hell. Oh, many persons will ponder on financial or other matters, but when hell is the subject they seem to prefer that someone else do the thinking. They may even push all hope of reasoning aside and declare, as one hell-fire believer did, that if he did not think the Bible taught a literal, red-hot, soul-scorching hell he would throw his Bible into the ash can. That is an extreme case. But it reflects a modern-day tendency to try to make God conform to man’s ideas of how things should be run.

Pagan religions are noted for teaching red-hot hells. The ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Phoenicians, Persians, Grecians and Hindus taught flaming hells. The Buddhists teach a hell wherein people cook and sizzle in blazing kettles. Is the Bible hell as hot as the pagans paint theirs? The answer is NO.

This raises the question: Did Almighty God create such a place of torment? Well, what was God’s view when the Israelites, following the example of peoples who lived nearby, began to burn their children in fire? He explains in his Word: “They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.”—Jeremiah 7:31.

Think about this. If the idea of roasting people in fire had never come into God’s heart, does it seem reasonable that he created a fiery hell for those who do not serve him? The Bible says, “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Would a loving God really torment people forever? Would you do so? Knowing of God’s love should move us to turn to his Word to find out just what hell is.

Didn't we all answer this question already? So why waste your time typing another answer that this guy won't read either?

I don't know if this answers your question or not, but one of the main reasons that I believe in Christianity is that the people who knew Jesus were willing to be tortured to death rather than change their story that they saw Jesus return from the dead.

If the apostles were lying about seeing the resurrected Christ, then why didn't they take back their story when they were individually being tortured to death? Every one of the apostles (Except John, who died a natural death in exile on Patmos), were killed for their faith. Wouldn't a liar recant this story to save his own life?

What did the apostles have to gain by making it all up? What good does fame do for a dead person?

I accept the apostles' story because the witnesses were creditable.

Thanks for the 2 points!

You don't understand!....You can't understand The Birth, The Death, And The Resurrection Of Christ!.....In your carnal opinion you say it's Like GOD holding a gun to your head to forcibly make you believe and then say I Love You!......That's Not True!....To make it as simple as possible!...GOD shows you where you're at, and offers you a way out and that way out is through JESUS (John 14:6) & (Acts 4: 12)......and if you don't want to take the way out you then face the consequences!......So sad you have so many bad misconceptions about GOD!.....Ps since you've made up your mind about your disbelief in GOD, there's other sites that you can log on to!...this is a religious/spiritual site that Do Believe In GOD....so are you another atheists logging on to this site to Mock, Condemn, Judge, Disrespect, Harrass, And Insult Other's Beliefs!...This is what you atheists prove to do on this site!...Feel Better Now!..

Leave this poor guy alone. He really thinks there is life on other planets. Time will eventually prove that Hell is a real place reserved for people who don't believe it exists. God always gives us all the rope we'll need to hang ourselves. Everyone has the choice of whether or not to believe that what God claims to be true is true. Close minded people are always looking to the stars for something greater then himself/herself, ignoring the fact that salvation is found in no one else and there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. Yes, I am afraid of burning, not in hell but in the presence of the Almighty Holy Creator GOD of heaven and earth. God threatens no one with hell. Everyone is destined to go there unless blood is spilled to atone for sin. Thanks be to GOD who gives us the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. That would be The Only Son of GOD, no one else, make no mistake about it.
The f00l has said in his heart there is no God.
