Hiya, troubled teen. Masturbation may seem like a good idea. I've been there, done that. But it soon takes over you, and soon you will find yourself making excuses and stealing time away to do it. For me it got to the point where I wouldn't go to sleep before I had masturbated. Then you start to think how to make the experience more creative and thrilling, and you will find yourself crossing that thin line from masturbation into kinky and perverted stuff which you never would have even imagined doing. When you eventually find a partner, if they can't make you feel the same way the masturbation did, then that relationship is doomed. Addiction to masturbation is NOT freedom, as some may want you to think. You do not want to open that can of worms. If you are a Christian, talk to God. He did not say that whatever we go through will be easy, but he did promise that He would give us the grace to see it through, and that he would never ever leave us. Tell Him what you are feeling and ask Him for the grace to handle all the changes that come with being a teen. Understand that the battle starts in your mind. Fight and win it in there.

The root of the problem is not in the person, it's in society.
40 years ago it was such a problem. Females didn't display 98% of their skin in public, you couldn't see any hint of sexuality on TV or radio, magazines were all 100% clean, etc. It's all this horrible stuff we must live in that causes this problem. It's a terrible situation but fornication will always be a sin. Perhaps seek some church counseling, I'm sure this will help.
By the way, "sexual tension" doesn't HAVE to be relieved, the feeling will go away.

Get married some day and enjoy your spouce. But until then, you must abstain from sex. That is the only way to keep from sinning reguarding your sexual tension question.

You are just a teen, you are still very young. You are not even old enough to fully understand or comprehend what your young body is experiencing. Don't listen or cave into peer pressure.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

If you have a good relationship with God, He can take that tension away from you through prayer and meditation with Him.
IF you Love the Lord, you will obey His commandments. Sex out of marriage is adultery, it also make you a whore in the eyes of God.

Proverbs 23:27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

This next scripture tells you that you shall never find satisfaction with sex and not be married, for that is what a whore is. You will never get enough of it.
Ezekiel 16:28 Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

Pray to the Lord for Him to settle your feelings and follow the teachings of the Lord. A moment's of pleasure, can cause you a lietime of pain and guilt. It's not worth it.

Okay . . . have a wife, or husband if you are female. I think that you are a dude.

But why do you think that the name of the game is not having sins? Who told you that?

The name of the game is trusting God's word.

You trust God's promises, that's living a life of faith. No matter what the circumstances, you rely on God's word as the truth.

Hebrews 11 for that subject.

Notice how I am not talking about what sins you do, but of where to look for faith?
We all sin and are going to sin. Nothin' is new with that game. That game started a long time ago and it is repeated daily! You haven't done anything that those in the Old Testament or New Testament has done. Don't look at them as if they were pure in all they did, the Bible tells on them too much!

Jesus made it possible for us to be considered sinless in God's eyes. Look to him.

That's the way it is.

In theory it would be, but the simple thing is... masturbation doesn't exactly work without lust. It's a deovtion to physical pleasure apart from God's plan for our sexuality. Anything not of God is sin, which is, by definition to "miss the mark". So to ask if that's a sin is hard simply because masturbation without some form of lust isn't exaclty masturbation, now is it?

Yes, but you will not be able to have sex unless you are married. My husband and I didn't have sex for 1year before we got married. It was so hard because we both are training in ministry. What we did was really pray and ask God to help us in the situation. The urge was there, but will cast those thoughts out and did other things. After a few months we were able to handle it. It's not really easy, but it can be done. God Bless you! Oh, I just read someones elses response and masturbation is a sin, so don't go for that one.

"Sin" is an invention of man to help keep you in line. Doing the things that you need to do to relieve tension only seem "sinful" to you because that is what you have been taught. Many, many cultures see these things as completely natural. Unshackling yourself from the bondage of fear will be the most freeing thing you ever feel.

You have to focus on Godly things. You can't be meditating on the Word of God and God himself and be horny at the same time. It's easier said than done, but just focus your attention elsewhere and be mindful of the thoughts you're entertaining. Thinking about sex all the time isn't gonna make you stop wanting it. Turn your thoughts to higher things and the tension will go away.

As long as you do not harm others, go for it. Masturbation is a common practice. Healthy fantasies are those about partners about the same age who have the ability to say no (but don't).
It sounds like you are a rather normal person.

Prayer. Faith. Keeping busy to keep your mind off this and do not get into the bad habits some friends may have of looking at pornography. Sexual lust can be controlled, and anyone who tells you this is totally wrong and definitely not under control as a Christian.
