Go to your local college and take a class on something that interests you. Volunteer at a local shelter, humane society or pantry. These are good places to meet people with simular interests. Church is also another way to get yourself involved in something constructive. Just don't sit around and mope and bemoan. Get out and do something!

Visit with friends and especially his family. If he is a family oriented person he would be delighted at the fact that you got so in tune with what he holds dearest. Pick one thing you don't really care to do with him that he doesn't know you dislike or even if he does know, and try to find some interest in or a way to make it more enjoyable for the both of you.

I was faced with a similar problem a few years. back. Just keep your mind occupied with friends, family, work, excercise, or hobbies. I found that renting a lot of movies helped to pass the time and kept my mind off of the loneliness. Just find what works for you...

Friends and lots of them and some adult toys for those lonely nights. DON'T CHEAT, it's not worth it.
