I am going to have a small ? lesion rmoved from my tongue. Anyone had this -what happened-any bad results?

This lesion noticed by dentist. Suspect cancer, but not confirmed.
Removal is in doctor office procedure, cutting it out. Dr office is in hospital.

I dunno. My tongue lesions tend to be from hot pizza and they go away by themselves. Hope it's not too bad!
