Well, I have been to both, lived in Hawaii, just visited Jamaica but it was a little scary. I would definatley have to pick Hawaii.

First off, they are very different locations. One is in the Caribbean and the other South Pacific. These 2 islands are very different to be able to compare, I mean the culture and lifestyle, to just the general scenery and types of attractions are really varied. Also what I think would be a major difference is how much money are you wanting to spend and what is it that you are looking for? A vacation in Jamaica is going to cost you a lot less. You can go all-inclusive, this means you will get everything included; airfare, resort stay, all your drinks and all your meals. The only thing that would not be included are day trips. A day trip varies in price depending on what you want to do. Also, keep in mind that if you are staying at a resort, you are not going to see dirt and grime, like described above. Jamaica is a very beautiful country and has a history and culture worth knowing and experiencing.
In Hawaii, you will not find all-inclusive stays. You will be able to find hotels that include one or two meals but you will not find everything included. It is more expensive there but you can still have a nice holiday even if you are on a budget. It too is very beautiful and has it's own unique culture.
I think that you should really do some research on these 2 places and decide what it is that you really want to see and to gain from this vacation experience. After all, this is what matters the most.

2 totaly different experiences & prices...but I say Hawaii. Hardly any violent crimes in Hawaii like murder & rape (one of the lowest in the US) but property crimes are high, just be careful don't be stupid. Jamaca people get shot all the time, it's a Third World Country, you're not in the US any more (remember Aruba & Natalie Holloway?)

Jamaica would be less expensive than Hawaii, but I would say Hawaii if you can. I've been to Jamaica (Ocho Rios) and it was a fun vacation. We were there in October and the weather wasn't that great. It turned cloudy every afternoon. We were in Hawaii in May, and the weather was sunny and beautiful everyday. I also thought Hawaii was much more beautiful than Jamaica.

Jamaica is more of what you would think tropical... Hawaii is tropical but not likely what you imagine. I say, Hawaii... because it has a lot of hidden treasures and the beauty is deep within. Jamaica is scary. Lots of people go around touching you all over... drugs are rampant there.

For a quality vacation, Hawaii. Jamaica is poor.

I love both of them! It all depends on your budget! Hawaii is expensive. Jamaica is nice too, but you need to be staying in a nicer hotel for safety reasons!
