How to make a home made Pizza Crust
4 cups whole wheat or white flour
1 tablespoon sugar or honey
1 packet of yeast, or 3 teaspoons
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup oil
1-1/3 cups warm water
In a big bowl combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix it up together with a fork or spoon. Add the oil and warm water. The water should be luke warm, not hot. I tap water that is warm when I stick my finger in it, like a baby's bath water, about 100°. Use a wooden spoon to stir all of this up until it begins to form a soft dough. Take out the spoon and dig in with your hands. If you use a big enough bowl, you can knead the dough right in the bowl. This is how I usually do it, because it saves the mess and bother of cleaning up the counter. The dough doesn't have to be kneaded as much as regular bread dough. Usually I do it for about two minutes, or until the dough is smooth, resilient and well formed. Next the dough has to rest for twenty minutes. Sometimes I rest it for as little as ten minutes, but the best results are obtained from allowing it to rest the full twenty minutes. The reason for this step has to do with gluten, or the protein in the flour. Kneading the dough activates the protein. It also makes the dough difficult to roll out because it keeps trying to stay in a ball, instead of cooperating and becoming flat. Allowing the dough to rest makes the job of pressing the dough into the pan easier because the gluten relaxes and then the dough is very easy and cooperative about flattening out into a round pizza shape (or rectangle shape, or whatever).
After the dough has rested for a while, divide it into two balls to press into your pans. This amount of dough is enough to cover 2 round pizza pans or 2 - 9 by 13-inch rectangular pans. If you have a bevy of boy scouts, or a gaggle of girl scouts, give them each their own pie or cake pan, and let them make individual pizzas. This recipe will make 4 to 6 pie-plate sized pizzas. They will think you are the finest den mother in town.
Press the dough into the pans, to the best of your ability. Then the crusts must be PRE-BAKED before filling. Preheat your oven to 425°. Bake the plain crusts for about 8 minutes, or until they puff up and appear slightly dry on the surface. This is the only way I have been able to make sure these crusts cooks clear through when I make pizza. If I don't prebake these crusts, I end up with under cooked pizza centers. The kids don't actually notice things like this, but I do, and I prefer the crusts to be thoroughly cooked, so I ALWAYS pre-bake the crusts from this recipe.
Remove the partially cooked crusts from the oven.
This is when you top the pizza crust with the stuff you like. Toppings are really up to personal taste. Top with tomato sauce, cheese and what ever else you like.
bake at 425° until the cheese is hot and bubbly, or about 10 to 15 minutes. Cool slightly before eating so you don't burn the roof of your mouth. Makes 2 large round pizzas or 2 rectangular ones.
you can buy canned pizza sauce, but it is easy to make homemade sauce.
how to make home made pizza sauce
Quick, Cheap & Easy
Seasoned Tomato Sauce
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons dry onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
12 oz can tomato paste
2 cans filled with water
1 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon oregano (optional)
1 tablespoon sugar or honey
1 teaspoon salt
This sauce is so easy, so cheap and so good, you won't believe it. Heat the oil in a 2 quart size saucepan. Add the dried onion and garlic. Stir the onion and garlic around in the oil for about 30 seconds, or until they start to smell good. Add the tomato paste. Now fill the empty can with fresh water and add it to the pot. Do it again, so two cans of water have been added. Stir it all up until the sauce is smooth and thick. Add the seasonings. Cover and simmer for about 5 or 10 minutes depending on your time and fuel situation. After the flavors have mingled long enough to know each other better, you are done.

Really good home made pizza comes at a pretty high price. 4 grand high. You need a good wood burning oven outside built for making pizza. that 4 grand doesn't even include a mixer for dough, rolling pins, things to roll the pizza out on, instruction on all of the preparation, and if u want a good pizza u have to have great ingredients. You have to use 00 flour to make good pizza. The best pizza is a thin crust with olive oil dusted on top with crisp pears, pancetta ham, and goat cheese. Let all of the flavors mix and you will have a delicious pizza. I will revise this answer with a great dough recipe and a guy u can call if you want to buy the oven. thx!

I can save you a little time on the dough. I always just use a frozen bread dough or make a bread machine white bread up into dough and use that. I just made calzones using frozen bread dough. I cut each loaf into 3. I use a pizza stone and lots of cornmeal so nothing sticks. And a high temp. Like 450-475.
There are great recipes out there but you can fool anyone with this trick, even yourself.
I always just buy a high quality sauce. Here in MN I get Green Mill restaurant brand. And the rest of the fixings/toppings is just what you like. I dice fresh onion and pepper, I slice fresh mushrooms. I like pepperoni. And my favorite is just a hamburger pizza where I brown LEAN hamburger in a little olive oil and add basil, oregano, sea salt and fresh ground pepper and garlic cloves that I slice up. I brown all that up, drain it and top my pizza with that. And I never do the cheese on top thing but I suppose you could if you want.
p.s your dough should be fully thawed, don't let it raise much at all before rolling it out with your rolling pin.

you probably only have 3 because other people have looked and don't think they can do as good a job answering as has already been done.
Pizza dough-
just like bread dough
Take a packet/cube or 2tsp of yeast, mix in 1tbsp sugar, then 1 cup of warm (NOT hot or you'll kill your yeast)water and 2tbsp of oil. Sprinkle some flour over the top, cover the bowl with cling wrap and let sit for 15 min.
When you see bubbles coming through the flour, add 1 tsp salt and more strong bread flour until you have a sticky dough (the amount will depend on lots of things, should be approx 2 cups)
Dump the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it for 5 minutes. It should be springy at this point.
Put it back into the original bowl which has been cleaned, dried and lightly oiled. Cover with a damp tea towel or more cling wrap, place in a warm place unil it has doubled in size.
Punch the dough down and spread it on your pizza stone/pan, cover with your pizza toppings and bake in a hot oven (425F) until done.

Vine ripened tomato pizza
with roasted garlic puree, fresh mozzarella and pine nuts
Ingredients
8 cloves Garlic, unpeeled
1 Tbl. Olive oil
2 pc. Pizza dough (see recipe under breads)
pinch Chili flakes
3-1/2 cups Swedish fontina cheese, grated (loosely packed)
20 slices Red onions, sliced very thinly
2 medium Vine ripened tomatoes, sliced 1/4" thick
20 each Cherry tomatoes
1 each Buffalo mozzarella, about 6 oz., cubed 1/2"
2 Tbls. Parmesan cheese, grated very finely
2 Tbls. Pine nuts 2 Tbls. Chopped basil
Preparation
1. Pre-heat the oven to 500 F. and place a baking stone or tile in to heat. Heat a small saute pan over medium heat and add the olive oil and the unpeeled garlic cloves. Saute, stirring regularly, until the garlic skin begins to caramelize. Transfer to the oven and roast until the cloves become uniformly golden brown. Remove and cool. When cool, remove the roasted garlic from the skins and place into a small bowl. Mix thoroughly with a spoon to make a paste.
2. Roll the doughs into roughly 10 “ rounds using a pie pin or by pounding and stretching the dough.(see the pizza dough recipe for photos)
3. Sprinkle a light cutting board or pizza peel with cornmeal or semolina and lay the doughs down on it. Spread the garlic paste over the doughs then sprinkle the chili flakes evenly and spread the fontina cheese over the dough, leaving a half inch rim without cheese. Next distribute the sliced tomatoes followed by the onion rings.
4. Arrange the cherry tomatoes evenly over the cheese and onions and sprinkle the fresh mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
5. Bake for ten minutes or until the edge of the crust becomes golden brown and the cheese bubbles in the center.
6. Remove from the oven and place on a cutting board. Sprinkle the chopped basil over and cut into six or eight pieces. Serve immediately.

Why only three answers? You come across as selfish and lazy with your question! You've specifically stated not to link to websites that already have the answer to your questions! Do you really think that everyone wants to spend major time answering a question that gets an instant answer with *any* search engine.
SHeesh!

Most people don't make their own and thought that someone had already given you the best answer. If you already have the best answer there is no sense in answering you again.
