At what point does any person become evil?

True Christians, by definition those who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, are not evil (morally bad or wrong).

However all humans are weak and sinful, and may, at times, commit evil deeds.

With love in Christ.

Just as in any other part of society, Christianity has it's evil people. Not all are evil, but not all are good either. A "true" Christian would be a very good person, I think. It is funny, though, how few "true" Christians I have met.

Every group has its share of good and evil people. All religions to me are like a class in a school. Some classes are in the primary school, some secondary and some high school. Each class has good and evil in them.

Jesus the founder of TRUE CHRISTIAN TEACHINGS was a Jewish man, who said "NOT ONE LETTER OF THE LAW OF MOSES SHALL GO AWAY, UNTIL EVERYTHING IS FULFILLED". What eloquent and beautiful words those are!! Jesus did not teach that people should worship him. He himself worshipped the LORD ALMIGHTY, who he called MY Father and YOUR FATHER!!! It is clear what was the context of his calling the LORD MY FATHER and YOUR FATHER.

The Most HIGH indeed is like a FATHER who protects us, provides for us and creates the conditions so we are nurtured to our full potential on HIS EARTH!! Who has played the pivotal role in our creation. However, if Jesus meant that the LORD ALMIGHTY was literally like a physical father, then one is jumping to conclusions, although the LORD did create the Physical World and we are a produce of that physical world.

I do not for a minute believe that all Christians are evil, or all of any group evil completely. If they were, they would have been eradicated by the good Lord a long time ago. We all however have our good and our evil. Evil people in a group tend to use some evil in the opposing group and paint everyone in that group to be evil. THAT is indeed the work of the father of evil, Devil.

I hope this makes sense.

Christians can perform acts that are as evil as individuals that are not Christians! Some Christians don't believe this - I pray that God (Jesus Christ) will open their eyes to this fact! All Christians are individuals just like everyone else and all have a individual and personal relationship with God (Jesus Christ) I hope. Christianity or Christians have the same problems as a group as any other group - we are human!
Sometimes when a Christian is blind to the truth of sin or a certain sin - they may commit it!
In Christian theology or beliefs - no matter how good you thought that you were before you accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour - you were still living in sin!
When you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour - there becomes the conscious of two spirits - the Spirit of God (Jesus Christ) and the spirit of evil!
Accept God (Jesus Christ) as your Saviour, this will start to happen in your life probably immediately - then you'll know the answer to the question.
This is a spiritual relationship with God (Jesus Christ)! When Christians commit sin we have Jesus Christ interceding to God for forgiveness of our sins!
Sin in a Christians life is very difficult - but we will sin until we die!

The religion of Cristian are not evil. Same goes to Islam, Judaism, Buddhism......and many others. The problem is not the religion but the person or persons that adopt any religion and then think that he is good enough to Interpret the religion according to his or her own Prefered Interpretation then the worst thing is influence others even worst, forcing others to accept or to adopt his or her distorted form of interpretation. Thus we now experiancing..... what I don have to tell in detail the phenomena of hatred towards ourselve The Brotherhood of Man(kind?).
So this lot of evil people are present in the Christians , Muslims, Jews, Buddhist........... every religion. They are here to tarnish every religion that God bestow upon mankind.

The answer to this one is kind of complicated. It depends on what your definition of evil is. There are no wicked true Christians, but there are a lot of evil people calling themselves Christians.

No. Just misguided.
The real problem is fundamentalists.
Fundies [or 'thumpers' as I call them - short for bible-thumpers] believe that the Bible is the only and literal truth, handed down by their god. They use the Bible as justification to hate and discriminate against and persecute anything or anyone that disagrees with their belief.
The teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible would seem to contradict that sort behavior. It seems to me that Jesus was a pacifist...the only thing he ever fought was capitalism [when he drove the moneychangers from the temple]. Yet so many high-level thumpers [like Pat Robertson, James Dobson & others] live in luxury compared to the majority of their followers. They preach of the 'struggle' against the unbelievers. What struggle? I know of no movement in this country to deprive the christians of their right to worship as they please. The right to worship is protected by the Constitution, the problem with fundamentalists is that they believe they're the only ones endowed with that right.

Christianity itself is a decent enough belief system, but like any other, it is only as good as its leadership. Just remember, it's a thin line between fundamentalism & facisim.

Christians and Non Believers alike, we are all human. We all make mistakes, we are all sinners and nobody is perfect. Evil exists in many humans, Christians and non believers alike. It all depends on how we choose to live our lives. God guides us and leads us in making good decisions all the time, but he has also given us free will, which in turn will also give us the choice to feed our flesh to satisfy our "sinful" nature if we are not strong in the faith.

Everyone is naturally evil, but christians have gotten past that, and are therefore looked down on by others.
