It's hard can you go for counseling and support somewhere. Do have someone to talk to. You need to take care of yourself and child as well. You must feel drained. Go to a church with a study group geared to caregiver support.

According to the reading I have done regarding hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), the brain, when it senses that blood sugar is low, will do sometimes strange things to get the blood sugar (glucose) out of storage and into the blood stream. Depression and bipolar behavior may result.
Suggestion? Fix him a snack for in between meals. Make sure it includes some protein, meat, a can of tuna or whatever. Also include some carbohydrate that he likes a handful of chips, or some carrots/celery and also include some fat almonds or other nuts or peanut butter. Encourage him to eat at least 2 ounces of the protein and drink a glass of water with it. This is especially helpful before bedtime, as it can help level the blood sugar for a good nights sleep.
Chronic low blood sugar can also cause self-esteem problems, anger management problems and a whole bunch of other physical and mental nasties. You may want to check out the symptoms link on www.hufa.org, and see how he checks out.

I was in the situation as your husband and I know how hard it can be on everyone else. He really needs to go to a different therapist and see a psychiatrist. It saved my life and now I am able to deal with life as a human where as before I was so medicated that I wasn't able to deal with anything. If I can help you in any way just write: michael_tretheway30@yahoo.com.

You just need to talk to him and tell how you are feeling. Maybe he is on too much meds. Have him get a 2nd opinion from a different doc. Sometimes meds. can counter act with one another.

These things are so hard to deal with......My oldest daughter is the same way and I try to help her, but she fights me every step of the way.....I just try to stay calm and be patient and when she goes into one of her "flip out" modes, I take the youngest daughter and get away from her for awhile.......Depression is a very scary illness, we never know what they are going to do next.....Just have faith and stay patient, and if worse comes to worse, you may just have to leave for the sake of your child.....Take care...........

try depression-helper.com, conqueringstress.com, depressionhurts.com, motivationzone.com, more-selfesteem.com, mentalhealth.com. I deal with depression and what helps is prayer, exercise, and writing poetry.

Good Luck with that. Perhaps talk to his therapist about what you can or should do.
