They were waaaayyy before my time but I think they are pretty cool. I've heard they are making a film on it (surprised anyone would after that debacle starring Alec Baldwin), but don't know any of the details.

Try the Old Time Radio website or other vendors of that ilk for recordings of this and other programs from when radio was king.
And if there is another movie, lets hope they don't go for the campy route like the first one.

I love "The Shadow" as well as "Inner Sanctum", "The Whistler" and, of course, "The Green Hornet". Didn't hear about the movie, but I really think if you listen to those shows in a darkened room your imagination can come up with a lot more scary things than Hollywood ever dreamed about.

mmmwwwwwwaaaahhahahahahhah: who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? the shadow knows! can't forget it after all those years. definitely excellent in the original. i recall it was on once a week back in the fifties. i, of course, was a mere toddler. and, yes the years do flow quickly by, alas.

don't remember much only we used to listen to it every night about 7 o clock. when i was young. back when most people had black and white TVs. why did we listen to it "only the shadow knows"
