According to the reading I have done regarding hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), the brain, when it senses that blood sugar is low, will do sometimes strange things to get the blood sugar (glucose) out of storage and into the blood stream. Unnatural headaches, sleeplessness and loss of appetite can be symptoms of low blood sugar, but can be caused by other things too.
Suggestion? 30 minutes before going to bed tonight, go to the kitchen and get some protein, meat, a can of tuna or whatever, and eat it. Also have some carbohydrate, like a handful of chips, or some carrots/celery and some nuts or peanut butter. Eat at least 2 ounces of the protein. Then drink a glass of water. You may sleep a bit better. If you have the headache before you go to bed, take whatever your mom recommends for pain - one aspirin or Tylenol should do it.
Check and make sure you don't cover your head with the blankets at night. That is one sure way to get a headache.
I think your hormones may be coming on line, because you are 14, and becoming a young woman. If your family has a history of low blood sugar or diabetes (high blood sugar) you may have inherited it.
You may want to check out the symptoms link on www.hufa.org, and see how you check out. That website also gives some suggestions on how to get yourself checked medically, to confirm or rule out blood sugar as a possible cause.

I have insomnia. Ways my doctors told me that help me sleep, don't sit/lay in your bed doing nothing. You have to get up and do something such as watching a boring movie, read a book... etc. When you start to feel sleep get up and go to bed. If that doesn't work (which is doesn't always) try sleeping somewhere new, like the couch or floor.
Because you are 14 I wouldn't regularly suggest medication, but you really need to get sleep before you go insane. Ask your parents to get some nyquill and have a small amount.
Hope that helps, Goodluck!

why haven't you slept? partying or worrying about something. if it's worry and stress, talk to someone and take a nice warm bath with some lavender oil in it, to relax you and go to bed early. don't watch tv in bed, just read a book till you drift off. make sure the room is at a comfortable temperature, and is quiet. have a mug of warm milk before you go to bed. if your period is due, this could also be a cause of sleepless nights. take a hot water bottle or heat pack to bed with you and put it on your lower tummy. most of all, don't worry, as there is probably nothing wrong with you that relaxing and de-stressing won't fix. good night :)

Well to get rid of your headache take asprin or something that will get rid of headaches. Stay up watching TV until like 11 p.m. or 12 a.m. then fall asleep with it on, BUT put it on the sleep timer. Even if you lose your appetite just try and put stuff in your stomach. If none of those work, let me know.

I am 14 too, and have trouble sleeping, so here is what I advise.
Take soem headache medicine, and either a benadril or something to make you sleepy, lack of sleep can cause headaches. Also be sure to drink plenty of water! If your insomnia gets too bad, talk to your doctor, they can give you some medicine, OR try an herbal suplement called Melatonin, it halps me go to sleep!
Good luck!

Drink water, you might be dehidrated. Also, at 14 you do loose your appitite sometimes (trust me on this one) also, just eat something small like some water mellon or some bananas. also, try to drink some milk or orange juice. If it gets worse, i would tell a doctor

Could be sinus related...take some Tylenol sinus. The headache last with the weather and the drainage will make you not wanna eat.

could it be drugs? could it be the lack of sleep? drink some water and try and try and try to get some rest. your body sends something out to help heal itself (i don't remember the name) during the REM stage of your sleep. My bet is you will feel better if you can sleep. Maybe a cup of tea will do you good,a warm bath? Best to you.

Probably migranes; sensitivity to light, sounds, smells, etc...you should see an MD and may need a daily medication to prevent them.
