Me and my boyfriend work at the same place. We see each other everyother day at work, but it's been a month and a half that we didn't see each other outside of work. He tells me he loves me and says he'll make it up to me. But what really pi$$ed me of is that my birthday was coming up and he decided to go see his cousin in Boston instead of celebrating with me. Before leaving, he told me he would only be there for a week. It's been 2 weeks now, and he only started calling me back 2 days ago to see how I was. I didn't even bother answering my phone, he left me a message. What should I do? I like him a lot but I also think that if he really wants to be with me, he'd do everything to see me more. What do you think?

Ok, at work we aren't really in contact, he's a security agent and we can't be seen together. And the cousin is a she!

He probably sees you WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much. He' hears about it from other guys at work and it's getting a little stale.

It's one of the many side effects of dating at work.

BUT I wouldn't be so quick to doubt that the guy doesn't like you. Be unavailable for a little while and see how he responds. If he tries harder to be around, then you got a keeper (for now). If you never hear from him again outside of work, then maybe he's doing you a big favor after all...

No matter what you do, keep smiling and have fun!!!

Juz before you let your mind wonders, you may want to ask yourself why does he choose to go to Boston at this moment? Did something really happen or he is merely avoiding celebrating your b'day. Obviously you are still in your anger thats why you didnt answer his call. Did something happen prior to his departure? Do not jump into any conclusion till matter clarifies. Listen to his message and hear what he says. Two answers to conclude: If you find his message acceptable than wait till he returns and resolve the issue or if you feel that he is not putting his heart into this relationship than a good time to re-think this relationship. It maybe a test for both of you. Juz remember you can like a person but to love a person is another factor!

I think there is an issue there with a bit of a 'short circuit' in the relation. I've been there before maybe I can help with my experiences. E-mail me if you like... good luck regardless!

Guys have to have their time with other guys. It's human nature. He probably feels smothered by you if you work together. Can you work somewhere else? Then you two can have alone time not at work and he will want to be with you more often.

I would say let the answering machine pick up a couple more times...just to let him know your feelings were hurt. Then maybe he'll think first before hurting your feelings. :)

You don't have a relationship. Walk away. He's stringing you along.
