this girl i asked to a dance but someone else asked her and she wasn't sure what was happening. so i didn't go to the dance with her. later she said to me, y didn't u go to the dance was it because the person u wanted to dance with was going with someone else.
does this mean she likes me?

How can she not be sure what was happening? Did you ask her point blank or did you beat around the bush and she didn't realize you'd asked her? From what she said, it makes me wonder if she knew all along and was wanting to play both of you. I think you're better off for not going with her and, no, this doesn't mean that she likes you. It means only that she wondered why you didn't go---or she's upset that you didn't go in order to "fight" to dance with her and make her look popular and wanted by two men. Find someone who doesn't play games like this.

probaly because if she asked you "why didn't u ask me 2 the dance" then she felt comfortable around u and if u like her then go for it little by little and i'm sure you'll get her but just don't go 2 fast or 2 slow your time will come if it's met 2 be.

she probably felt bad that you probably didnt go because she declined your invitation. Just keep having casual conversations, say hello when you see her, keep it brief, if she's intersted she'll inquire more into the conversation. Take it slow.
