I eat like a freak. I will shovel food down until I am so full I could puke. I'm not overweight, but at the rate I'm going I'm sure it won't be long. I'll go for a few days and eat normally but then I go nuts and completely binge until I'm so full I feel like exploding. How can I quit doing this? I know it's probably a bored or depressed reaction. I am scared I'm going to weigh 9000 lbs. HELP.

I work out nearly every day. I am 5'5 and had weighed about 160 3 years ago. I lost weight and got down to 125 but now I'm back up to 140 probably due to my binge fests. It's so depressing. It's like I can't help it.

It's easier if you pace yourself. Set the fork down, clean, wash a few dishes, etc. during the meal so you get full faster and you're not just shoveling. You can also cut portions by making sure none of the food on your plate touches, leaving more empty plate space. Also, drink something before you eat to become fuller, just don;t make it pop, or juice, empty calories.

first of all u should start excercising, so u can start burning some of what u eat, also the main reason why i mention this is because if u were to start excersicing, that will take care of one problem (being bored) and once u get a motivation working out ull independetly start taking car of what u eat so i recomend that. also if it is depression, u should talk to someone about that, i went into a depression because i got kicked out of collage and all the girlfriends i had basically stop hanging out with me, and only my real friends stood with me, so i felt like ****, and at home it really sucked, and the only thing that made it better was talking to frineds about it, and right now im still playing football and i work in a gym and i work as a personal trainer, and i never felt better in my whole life. and so i advice u too see friends and stuff, because it really helps, and look at this as a changing point, u get depressed because there is something u dont like about urself or ur life and u could do two things, u could either suck it up, or do something about it. u might not feel as bad i as i did, but it is the same situation, and i think it is really important to start looking at the things you want for yourself because u dont wanna have any regrets in the future

Try to chew your food a lot more before swallowing. It takes 20 minutes for your brain to realize you're full. So if your slow down your pace by chewing longer, you'll have that full feeling before you end up eating the whole meal. Try to drink lots of water instead of soda. Sodas have High Fructose Corn Syrup which has a chemical that actually prevents your body from knowing its full.
Maybe you're listening to music that's fast while eating. Try to turn off your iPOD or listen to relaxing music while eating to help you slow your pace down.

that happens to me. I am heavy. You are deffenetly NOT alone... I feel full but the food is so good i keep eating till i literaly cant eat another bite. I am taking the special k challenge to get myself out of the mood to eat too long.. maybe you should too.

The younger, you are the better your metabolism is, so if you are young I wouldn't worry as long as you don't make a habit out of eating junk all the time.

Just takes willpower! Believe me I know, and it is why I comfortably sit here in my swimsuit 70 pounds lighter then I was three years ago.

me too. i have the same problem. i just put enough food onmy plate to fill up and i wont let myself go back for more.

put a limit to wat u eat dont let ur self eat more then what u told ur self to eat make sure that ur friends and family help u so they can tell u to stop when u cant control it

I do that too!!!!! I don't know why I try not to, but that makes it worse.
